What's new

2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

I wonder if Collins is finding a new appreciation for coming off the bench. He's averaging the most shots per game since his 3rd year in the NBA despite playing less minutes.
He's taking 20 shots per 36 min, by far the most in his career. Second most is 16.

Dude gets to come in and just look to score

Why?

Maybe you aren't understanding that FVV has a club option next year. We would be trading for an expiring contract if we wanted to treat it that way. Trading away the JCs for an expiring contract is the best we can hope for in my opinion.
FVV isn’t the type of dude you trade for if you’re actively trying to tank

Whitmore just fell out of Udoka’s rotation in Houston. They simply got way too many talented young players to figure out and it ain't like Cody/Brice/Key these kids can actually play. Vanvleet has been a disaster and he's not justifying his minutes or contract. They probably have to make some moves soon cuz they are too talented to not make the playoffs. We give them two vets who can help them win now and we get an exiting young talent who can bring the crowd to its feet.

Those back to back dunks on Walker is what sell you tickets.

Not... happening...

There may be a way to add a theoretical premium pick for the 2025 draft. Atlanta REALLY needs a starting center as Capela aint it anymore.

They own the Lakers 2025 pick unprotected and I think the Lakers have been overperforming thanks to AD, and will run out of steam (or get injuries) down the road. That pick could end up in the lottery.

Who would consider Kessler for Cody Zeller + Lakers 2025 first?

At this point we could convince them to give us the pick. That aint possible if it starts to look lottery bound.

Yes but would the Hawks?

I dont know. Kessler there makes a lot of sense as Snyder had success with Rudy and Trae/JJ could help him get better offensively. Trae is miles better at PnR than any of our guards, so he could unlock Kessler as a roll big.

What is for sure is they could use his defensive presence.

There is also an added value here in making Atlanta better. Helping them be a play off-contender lessens the chances of their pick, that is owned by San Antonio, being good.

Cleveland is somehow 10-0 and Mitchell isnt even having a season to his standards, at least stats wise. His BPM is -0.7....

Yeah, it sucks. Then go look at the teams that OKC own picks of.
Yeah, I've given up all hope those picks amount of high picks. Minny/Cleveland are well run, well coached, and have young stars. It would be hard for them to **** up their future. Both teams could have season ending injuries to their best player and still be playoff teams.

DM is a superb player every time he remembers basketball is a team sport.
I don't think it was all on him that he forgot about it in his last seasons as a jazz player.
Snyder was wrong to force hero ball with him, he almost impose a will for Mitchell to be a one on one player.

I hope Hardy can understand at some point KG can be a great scorer guard, accept it and just develop him as such.

Zion out for an indefinite amount of time with a hamstring strain. Could they want a Collins?
