Melbourne United?

Their season will be over before the deadline. Think the final game of the regular season is this weekend and I'm guessing the way they've been playing they'll be first round losers in the finals.

We didn't get enough value on Bogdonovic, the Lakers-Minny deal, the trade with Detroit, etc. All of those were low to fair value. Danny does not have to win every trade, but he isn't going to give away free stuff either, which is refreshing after KOCs final years.
What exactly did we give that had any kind of value for a rebuilding team? And we had no leverage.

Technically they only have their '31 FRP to trade. They must be counting Jaylon Tyson as a FRP.
I think Okoro and/or Caris would be involved. I am sure Caris can be moved to another team for something. He's been good but I doubt Cavs are going to retain him and Cam Johnson so I'd guess he is the trade ballast.

Okoro, Tyson, 2031 unprotected pick and whatever Caris lands I think is actually pretty decent. Sacramento going to give two basically unprotected firsts? One first and Carter? I think they may opt for the cheaper route with Kuz or Collins. Pacers have some picks out. I think OKC should come to the table but they are unlikely to upset the apple cart.

I looked at Caris destinations and I doubt there is a first out there unless some bad salary comes back to Brooklyn but a couple good seconds for sure.

Ainge better get movin’, then.

One down. I need one more to be correct.
Sexton and John Collins to the Heat

Butler to Phoenix

Bradley Beal to somewhere

Garbage salary to the Jazz and the lowest picks between Cleveland, Utah, and Minnesota in ‘25, ‘27, and ‘29.

We got more than Bogey was worth. Dude has been bad since and always injured.
This has been true but not knowable ahead of time- his value at the time of the trade seemed higher than we got- kind of similar to Simone- I thought he'd do a lot more on a bad Detroit team, but he's not getting run/results.

I think the Suns trade makes other trades slightly more likely. With guys like Collins/Sexton….we’re hoping for late first round pick kind of value. You can never have too many picks, but at some point these “bad” first start to have diminished value as you realize that you cannot use them all. Now that we’ve consolidated and gotten a premium pick I think we’d be more open to the lesser picks.

Yeah I mean the Orlando deal with Anthony for Sexton and the lesser of the Denver Orlando firsts should be on the table right? Like that is tremendous value. There's some other stuff we can do as well now... I would actually bet we make 2 deals or one mega deal.
