Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I can already tell that my insufferable thing this draft cycle will be "we need everyone!". I think Jase has quite a bit of potential. We just need to draft the guys who we think are most likely to be max contract level players. I wouldn't let anyone (except for Kessler) alter our drafting strategy.
Maybe it is less about "we already have that at home" and more like "this type of player is very abundant which is why we have some of that at home". I do think that player type has had success being huge homeruns mid to late first so I'd keep swinging if there were guys we liked.

Every year I seem to irrationally fall in love with a combo guard or a 2 guard that has a size deficit. Jared Butler, Kobe Bufkin... this year I'm highly intrigued with Jase Richardson. Do we really need another one of these guys... nope. I will still be tempted with the Wolves pick if he is there though.

I watched the entire Michigan State game on Saturday, which I'm pretty sure was Jace's best game by far. At the start of the game he was mostly playing off ball and so I was thinking this can guy shoot, but he definitely looks small, even in college, I wasn't getting too excited. Then towards the end of the game he made a few plays where it was obvious he has more than what he is showing right now. I hope he gets a chance to show more of what he can do.

Can't remember what game I was watching and he just kept making solid plays and it was clear he is bought into his role but has some ability beyond when given chances. He is small and not the explosive vertical athlete his pops was. He does look small for sure.

Traore had a big game the other day, seems as though he's very inconsistent. I am still intrigued by him and he could become my leader for the best guy outside of the top 6. His efficiency is obviously very disappointing, but the sheer usage this guy has at his age is noteworthy IMO.

Traore can break the paint any time he wants to. I'm not sure if that's because of bad guard play in the LNB or because he is that good. I'm fairly confident that if he can shoot he will be a good NBA player. I'm not confident he can shoot, although his shot has been looking better for the past month or so after looking really bad for the two months before.

Yeah, this is where it gets hard to rank and project guys. He is a small non PG, at least he hasn't shown a lot of vision/passing and ability to play mostly on ball. That's not the type of player you should probably waste a first round pick on. On the other hand, I really do believe in the idea of just drafting good basketball players, and Jace is a good basketball player.

International guys are already hard to predict because you have to imagine how they'd do in a different situation....but he's even more difficult because he's in this extreme usage role. He's second in the French league in usage and assist rate, everything goes through him. It's obviously too much, but I do wonder what his performance would be like in a more modest role.

The only situation that I can think of to compare it to is Lamelo.

Hypothetical question...

Let's say the Jazz ended up drafting Dylan Harper. Would that Jazz then go out and try and sign Ron Haprer Jr away from the Pistons? Would having his brother on the Jazz help Dylan? Help him be more comfortable in Utah?

Another question ...

I noticed that the Pelicans have already beaten the Jazz twice and they only play 1 more time (Must lose) does that mean that the Jazz have the tiebreak over the Pelicans? If they have the same record the Jazz would theoretically have the worse record?
