A bigger more talented Clarkson doesn’t seem half bad.I still maintain he's a bigger/more talented Clarkson. His herky jerky movements and ability to pull-up of awkward foot positions in the mid-range is very Clarkson esque.
Then we just take Harper and we're set.The Jazz have never won the lottery, so we really dont know if a college aged super-star is faced with the certain truth that he is going to Utah if he would stay or return to college.
Flagg, a white guy from Maine, announcing he is returning to school after Utah wins the lottery, would be extremely devastating.
What if Jazz do get the #1 pick and other top 5 players besides Flagg decide to stay in collegeThen we just take Harper and we're set.
yeah, not the end of the world, but it would still be a massive bummer. And it would only truly sting if he waited til the moment the Jazz won the lottery to announce. Then we just take Harper and we're set.
I mean, no one is going to avoid the lottery because they have a chance at being drafted by the Jazz. But there's a difference when it's guarantee you know where you are going.Depending on how Jazz tank goes, If Flagg (or any other college kid) is so set in avoiding the Jazz, they might wanna stay in college more than just another year.
If we trade Lauri, they could be looking into playing through their entire college eligibility, maybe even consider a stint overseas at Real Madrid.
Yes, I'm not concerned at all.I mean, no one is going to avoid the lottery because they have a chance at being drafted by the Jazz. But there's a difference when it's guarantee you know where you are going.
I still doubt he would back out just because Utah won. He's also not the first college player to wax poetic about how much he love his experience and wants to stay to play with the next elite group coming in.
Of course notA thought exercise:
If Flagg, Harper, and Bailey came out strongly today and said they're all definitely returning to college next year, what would you advise the Jazz to do?
Would you tell them to win as much as possible and see if they can get that OKC debt conveyed this year (and then maybe trade what you can after the season to go all in for a tank next year)?
Come to think about it, we probably have already stacked up too many losses this season to even be dreaming about conveying the pick this year. So just forget this scenario.A thought exercise:

Stfu. Again, I dont get posters like you who come on here to be negative for the sake of being negative. To be honest, if I were someone like Flagg or Harper and I had to choose between the bottom feeders of Washington, New Orleans, Charlotte, Toronto and Utah, the Jazz would be my last choice by far. A combination of weather, small town feel and the fact that the Jazz have no promising young players. Even Charlotte at least has LaMelo with all his followers. Believe me, there are no college players salivating at the thought of playing with the great Lauri Markkanen. Utah has zero pull now.
