Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying I take delight in their misfortune, but I find it interesting what is coming back to those on this board who push the most hate out into the universe. Say what you want about those on the political right, but nearly all of what they post involves ideas, events, and icons. It is seldom targeted at specific people here on this board. They don’t wish for specific people on this board to be stood up against a wall and shot, as Rubashov has written more than once.

Those on the political right don’t incessantly resort to name-calling of specific people while cowering behind blocking functions. I don’t for a moment believe any of them would behave face-to-face as they do in the digital world where technology can shield them away from the consequences of their social ugliness. There are those who believe people act out their true selves online. It is intriguing to see the types of life events coming back to those whose true selves are on display.

Turns out that this "deep state" that trumpers have been freaking out about for years either doesn't actually exist or doesn't actually do anything.

My story is amazing, but I won't share details because I don't trust everyone who reads what I write. I have a kid who has a shot at making Team USA for the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane, Australia. The odds are maybe 100:1, but it is not inconceivable. It sucks that I know there are those out there who would do him harm or endeavor to ruin his shot to make a jab at me, but it is what it is and so I don't get to share the cool things that are happening for how easy it would be to figure out who I am.

I do wish people on this board would be nicer to each other, and I do feel bad for what Fish's wife has to go through.

Lest there be any doubt about how big of a piece of **** you are, you had to confirm it to anyone who might have wondered(not me).

And lol about you bragging on your kid having a 100:1 chance of making the Olympics. Parents like you are the type who make their kid hate their sport as they get older. And ruin his shot? Let me tell you something as someone who would know and has seen all the dumbass parents who think their kid is special and stroke their own ego while putting pressure on their kid. If you are dreaming about your kid making the Olympics seven years from now he better be a ****ing phenom. Obviously he's not, but you brag about him to compensate for your own frail ego. Your friends and acquaintances can see right through your BS and so can your kid. Your son's best hope is not just making team USA, it's not ending up like you.

This may sound odd, but in the hyper-competitive end of youth sports, republican-democrat, national politics is never mentioned, ever, by anyone. It is as if it doesn't exist. All of the talk of politics is centered around the influence of this club, or that coach, or zone/governing body head. We talk biases of specific officials and who is moving clubs. It is as if sport is so all-consuming there is no room for anything else.

Of course I'm aware of all that is going on in geopolitics, but I have no control over any of it. Those events will play out as they will. My focus is on what I can control or at least influence.

You come in making light of someone's personal health issue then make light of another guy's wife's health issues, then in the process of defending yourself you brag about your kid's odds of going to the Olympics all while harping on people "calling names." You don't know who you are.

I think you have misunderstood what I was saying if you believe I was 'making light of' anyone's trevails. A fairer reading would be darkness begets darkness. I'm not happy or even dismissive of what they are going through because I see them as real human people. It simply doesn't escape my attention they do not return that kindness. To them, those who favored a different political candidate or way of thinking, are trolls, stupid, all the same person, to have their existence denied, and generally be treated in a way they'd never treat anyone in real life because it is rotten.

It is the internet, and they can be that way if they so choose. There is certainly nothing I can do about it.
