Instead, you’ve got a team like Cleveland who just kept chucking which led to easy transition pts. True, the 3 ball might get you back into the game faster. I don’t think they need to worry about shooting themselves out of this game.
 
It's kind of crazy that Indy might be headed to it's second conference finals in a row with a team that is just kind of ok. They have have benefited from so many opponent injuries in the playoffs the past two years, but I think we are also seeing that their style of basketball is just difficult to deal with for a full series.

I remember it was a big deal when they fired McMillan who was a good coach, but just couldn't get them out of the first round after having decent teams for a long time. They eventually hired Carlisle, have had about the same regular season records as when McMillan has been coaching, but have had way more playoff success.

I don't really know or think there is anything to take away here. It's just interesting.

I still remember the days of watching Rick Smith, Chris Mullens, Marc Jackson… and the pinstripe uni, playing serious no nonsense basketball. That team made it to the Finals iirc.

They’re like the Jazz of the East.

Losing in 5 to a team you were heavily favored over is a franchise altering disappointment.

Fingers crossed the Cavs get smoked and make some risky moves in the off-season.
