It's kind of crazy that Indy might be headed to it's second conference finals in a row with a team that is just kind of ok. They have have benefited from so many opponent injuries in the playoffs the past two years, but I think we are also seeing that their style of basketball is just difficult to deal with for a full series.
I remember it was a big deal when they fired McMillan who was a good coach, but just couldn't get them out of the first round after having decent teams for a long time. They eventually hired Carlisle, have had about the same regular season records as when McMillan has been coaching, but have had way more playoff success.
I don't really know or think there is anything to take away here. It's just interesting.
