Jazz acquire DeMarre Carroll from Denver

27th pick by the Grizz in 2009.

His last year at Missou, he led them to the Elite Eight, scored 16.6 per game on 55%+ from the floor and 36%+ from three. He also tallied 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 steals.

6'8".

Not sure how that's translated in the D-league or in his brief NBA playing time.

Just don't see the point in adding a 14th guy to a roster. A trade has to be in the works. Carrol is either some extra salary needed to balance it out, or he is there because we will soon be under the minimum limit of 12.

Sorry guys about the spelling, it's a wierd name.

Mods, if you can change the title to have the correct name spelling, that'd be great.

Finding players like this is actually one of the things the Jazz are pretty good at, but yeah, it could be related to another personnel move. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense on its own, since he basically duplicates Jeremy Evans' role.

"DeMarre Carroll was shot in the ankle outside of a club in a late-night disturbance when he attended Vanderbilt as a 20-year-old. #utahjazz"

And Tinsley got arrested for something at a strip club.

And Josh Howard wouldn't say the pledge of allegence and got nailed for racing too.

Seems the Jazz are a forgiving organization for people who change their lives. Da's ok by me.

This is obvious. He is JC Carroll's brother and this is the first step in bringing JC home to Utah. BTW, he can't be any good, his jersey is untucked in his NBA player profile pic.

This kid hustles his *** off on the court but I am pretty sure this is setting up for another move soon.

I took a bunch of heat (and still do) because I won't say it either. /shrug
