And he isn't healthy too.

What makes your hunch think it's Millsap and not Jefferson?

Millsap has value. He's proven he can improve his game and has some ceiling left. Al really hasn't improved much. We've seen a little this season, but nothing that would up his value.

If we are going to get any serious talent on the perimeter we have to give up something worth that talent. I know we want other teams to want our garbage, but that's just not the case. To get real talent you have to trade real talent. I love Sap, but if we're going to move forward we need a solid shooter on this team. Millsap can get us that.

Oh and PS, you seem to be forgetting the fact that they traded away the pick that ended up being the first overall for.....Mo Williams?

Giving up draft picks for proven vets is the very definition of what championship competing teams do. They want to win now. They'll give up potential for the proven.

This is exactly the opposite of what the Clippers have done in their past. So thanks for proving my point!

How many championship teams have traded picks that lead to the first overall player in a draft?? Especially for a bench point guard? Clippers could have become the 98 Spurs, but instead they give away a deep lottery pick, and they trade away some great players to fulfil the void. Imagine this roster in 3 years:

Irving
Gordon
Butler (presuming he was signed)
Griffin
Jordan/Kaman

Much more cap-flexibilty, a point guard that plays at a close level as Paul, and a non-depleted bench. Not too mention, many pieces that could be used to trade for other players.
