Jazz acquire DeMarre Carroll from Denver

You don't fill a need here, but the Mod's still let you hang around.

Well, that is funny because I know this is hard for you to believe but this is a blogging website where there are differing opinions if you don't want any other ideas maybe you should sit in front of a mirror and talk about the Jazz. I bet it would be an inspiring conversation.

To the man in the mirror 'Man the Jazz are the best' man in the mirror 'Man the Jazz are the best'
To the man in the mirror 'Great move getting Carroll' man in the mirror 'Great move getting Carroll'
To the man in the mirror 'You really have some great ideas' man in the mirror 'You really have some great ideas'

til one day you snap

To the man in the mirror 'Can't you have your own opinion?' man in the mirror 'Can't you have your own opinion?'
To the man in the mirror 'I ASKED YOU FIRST' man in the mirror 'I ASKED YOU FIRST'
To the man in the mirror 'PLEASE, STOP' man in the mirror 'PLEASE, STOP'

Maybe I won't be around to pick up your pieces than because the Mod decided that they wanted a site where fans go to agree and pat each other on the back no matter the circumstances.

LOL

Even if he does make some moves, I bet you still cry like a little bitch.

Harpring that is some tough words does your daddy Greg Miller know that you talk like that. We will have to see the moves if we bring in 4 or 5 more DeMarre Carrolls than yes. We will probably sit on this roster yeah!!!!

In all fairness we never knew how far along Kanter would be or how much Favors had improved. Same with Burks and Hayward. Trying to make informed decisions about the bigs based on what they knew was difficult. They did trade Okur so that our young bigs would get more burn.

Now that they have a better idea I think they will make a move. Now having said that it takes two to tango. What if KOC is trying to get a specific player that the Jazz need?

For example a young PG that people on here all want, Rondo. (I don't. Guy seems like a punk). How much do you offer before it is to much. Just because one side is willing to deal does not mean the other side is.

Basically my point is we will have to wait and see what does and does not happen before we can make a better decision on his job performance this year.

You know he did choose to be a GM of a NBA team. That is a job with huge responsibilities. So, until he makes a good move he should get some criticism. He has to prove his value by making moves at the right times to get the right players on our team. I'll be patient but at the same time Demarre Carroll please.

You do realize that your choice of username pretty much invalidates your opinion of how well the man performs his job, right? KOC haters like you assume that because there isn't constant trade chatter surrounding this team, because our name doesn't come up when people talk about possible destinations for high profile free agents, that KOC isn't good at what he does. As if you'd do any better.

You should watch Moneyball, or better yet, read the book. Might give you some perspective.

Favors
Kanter
Hayward
Burks
Millsap
?????

Watson?
Evans?

Who is #6?
Watson. Evans is nice but not really necessary. I kind of see him as trade bait even though I really like him and would like to keep him also.

Trading DWill was a good move. Finding Wesley Matthews was a good move. Getting Boozer was a good move. Finding Millsap was a good move. Getting Big Al was a good move. Getting Watson was a good move.

Like I said he has doen well. He has also done bad moves.

Morris Almond, Eric Maynor trade, not keeping Korer......

Demarre Carroll plays good D and will likely see PT at SF. This MAY mean Josh Howard starts at SF with Gordon Hayward going to his more natural SG position. I gather Jazz brass has been disappointed in Hayward's development this season, and such a move might help him improve while cranking up the team's defensive intensity, which has been a concern lately.
Or I could be totally off-base here...

I have a feeling that this means Millsap and Howard/CJ are outta here via trade for perimeter help. Call it a hunch.

The Maynor trade was not something KOC would have done on his own. Told by ownership to reduce their luxury tax burden which would have been pretty huge without that trade that involved Matt Harpring.

The Jazz rely on Millsap and Jefferson right now while the young players develop. Plus depth isn't a bad thing. Meanwhile, CJ has been taking minutes away from Hayward at the SF spot for the sake of offense. I could see Howard get moved, or maybe Evans if an offer comes in worth taking.

Right... How's ol' Mo Almond doing these days? How about Maynor? I keep reading all of those awesome stats that Korver keeps putting up... Wait. No I don't. And those other two clowns aren't even playing right now. I don't see any of the three wearing a Jazz uni, and I'm pleased as punch with what we got in return for them.

Again, I don't care if the whole team gets traded to Bermuda, as long as Chucker is on the list.

Wait... What's wrong with Korver's stats? Jazz would be happy to have him back with his 45% from beyond the arc.

Not out of the question. KOC is very forward thinking and knows Sap is going to cost a pretty penny in a year and a half. I think he wants to keep Millsap bad but the three point eyesore simply cannot be overlooked. Batum and Granger are possibilities with the right throw ins to make it work.
