Jazz acquire DeMarre Carroll from Denver

unless the Jazz are planning a trade, this is a pointless move. maybe one of the wings is getting moved? please be bell, please be bell..

Only sense I can make of this, is Josh Howard moving to a playoff team. Which wouldn't be all that bad, quite frankly. He's been putting great stats, but I don't know if he's a great fit for this team. He's a great addition for a central trade piece. Maybe Al+ Howard for someone? Harris + Howard (much preferred) plus our 1st pick for a good PG? Who the hell knows. All I know is, this signing just by itself doesn't make much sense at all.

I agree with all of you.... this makes no sense unless there is another move to come. We already have a SF/PF that can't shoot rotting on the bench (Evans).

Hmmmm....

1st unit: Hayward to 2. Howard to 3.
2nd unit: Burks to 2. Miles to 3
Bench: Carrole and Evans???.

Bell to LA Clippers for..????

Don't see why. He seems like he's a PF in a SFs body. Don't see how he fits in since we already have Jeremy Evans as 3rd/4th SF/PF.

And he's barely getting time as it is.

And if we were going by need, wouldn't we be adding point guards? Harris is brittle and sucks. and Earl has been rolling with a bad wheel lately.

So unless we're looking at a trade, I just don't see how this addition makes any sense.

I will never doubt the Jazz's ability to find diamonds in the rough

a second-round pick, at best.

I'd take that.

What? No, that's incredibly awful. First round pick at best.
They NEED an SG and Bell is worth quite a bit more now that he's making 3's and palying some major defense.

I wouldn't give up Bell for at least a first round

You are setting yourself up for disappointment. No way Bell brings a first-round pick.

This IS the Clippers we are talking about....

But seriously, Bell aint worth that much. Id be stoked with a 2nd rounder. Id be very stoked if we got a one-dimensional 3point-shooter a la Brandon Rush, but I feel like that won't happen. Hopefully we get some movement going, which results in some sort of specialty-shooter signing, because we are desperately in need of one.

I think your logic is based upon the 100 years of sucky Clippers history. Previously, they didn't give a damn about winning.

I think you're in error. This is not your typical Clippers. Your typical Clippers would not have gone out and signed Billips, Mo Williams, and surrounded their high draft picks with good players. Not would they have made the CP3 trade.

They would have used Blake for all he was worth, sold a few tickets and jerseys, and once his rookie deal was up, let him leave (and be right back into the lottery drafting another top guy).

Someway and somehow the whole Clippers' train of thought has been changed. I'm pretty sure their management is actually trying to win now. I think they see an opportunity with Kobe and the Lakers in decline and with the young core they have, to really put a dent into the Lakers' flagship and permanently convert their cheap *** bandwagon fans.

Right now in LAX you have stories selling BOTH Clippers and lakers jerseys. This never happened before.

I don't think the Clippers want to flush that away with a few stupid trades (like giving something of value for Raja Bell).

Now i'm excited!!!! No not about Carroll, i am also convinced this is leading somewhere, has to be, this makes no sense otherwise.

Billups has gone down with a season ending injury, most likely due to The Clippers curse. Up to that point, Billups could be considered an Iron Man by modern NBA standards.

CP3 will soon follow with his injury history.
