I would never wish for a tanking but I agree play the young guys more and see where we get. I also think the next 2 years will determine the next decade for utah

Agreed. Being a lottery team is good only when it is naturally occurring.

Otherwise, I have a lot of other anti tank missile pictures to post against the tank-bandwagoners.

we have to low road win percentage to make it to playoffs with so many good teams around. so i would say better lets settle with a good pick, at least we can use it as an asset

I have warned.

I do not really agree with either option. I want the rookies to be developed and see what we get. We make the playoffs then that is kickass. We do poorly and get 1-2 picks in the draft and know exactly what we have in Hayward, Favors, Kanter and Burks then that is kickass to.

I agree 100 percent.

If it were say a top 5 pick, I could perhaps vote for tanking it. But the 13th pick is pretty much a crap shoot anyway so I think the playoff experience would do more for our team.

We said this last season, and then we got Alec Burks.

I'd say 13th pick this year is at least as good as 5th pick last year.

If we were talking the 13th pick compared to the 16th, then I go with playoffs. Losing the pick altogether is a different story.

That pick is just one more asset to a team that could really use it.

Good reasoning. Not much difference between getting a late lottery and whatever pick will correlate to a playoff team with a record around .500. But since it's all or nothing, I prefer the lottery pick. Let's assume the GS pick is somewhere in the 8-10 range and Utah's is 13-14. If KOC wants to move up into the 5-6 range, that should be enough ammo. Or just stay put with both picks and probably acquire at worst, a starter and a solid backup. Add another starter via the Memo TPE and the Jazz would be in a great position going forward.

It really comes down to whether the Jazz will get a lottery pick from GS or not. I want one this year, and if the Jazz can make the playoffs AND still get one lottery pick then I'm all for that.
