Trying to hard.
There are no bigs in this draft as promising as the two guys that spend 30 minutes every game rotting on the bench except Davis and Drummond. I don't know why they (Zellerzz, Jones, whoever) keep coming up.

Am I far from the truth in saying P. Jones college career is similar to Favors career at GT, in that both fell short of their potential? With that said, is it possible Jones could be a better pro then college player?

Thanks both +4
Maybe, but Drummond isn't Kwame Brown, and Quincy Miller isn't Darius Miles, etc. Just chiming in.
My take: Favors was raw with uber upside. Shy but not lazy. Jones is less raw, not so shy, but more lazy.
Favors is shackled by lack of self-belief, jones by self-entitlement. Give me Favors ... And I'll hope that, along the way, I can teach him to get pissed.
Favors plays close to the basket, jones falls in love with the perimeter.
I would love to be able to get say Miller and Austin Rivers.
I think what the Jazz really need is a player with the ability to be a go-to scorer. We can get a distributing PG in free agency if we have a nice team, but we need an all-star level wing player to really have a chance with this team.
Don't worry everyone, I have a solution to both problems. PJ3 will look like a #1 pick when I get done with him.
This is a simple fix. His name is Karl Malone. The Jazz just need to hire him and he will instill fire into any player.
Hornecek can fix anyone's shot and turn them into a 40%+ shooter from the perimeter. If Jones is going to be playing outside he might as well light it up right?
Malone and Hornecek, a deadly combination for any team not named the Jazz.
(This has been brought to you today by the office of "Former Jazzmen Can Fix Any Problem" as well as "Sarcasm".)
Homeristic but cool post.
Both of things things are true, but I continue to hear that type of talk around here and I thought that I would join in as well. It is a lot of fun. Suddenly any player makes sense for the Jazz to pick up. If you are already a Jazz player then all hope is lost. Only future Jazz players work in this scenario, ie Miles will never work, but Marshall will.

I like it. The homerism is rampant. Get players that know how to play.
