3/2/12: Utah Jazz vs Miami Heat

Wow. I would not have guessed it in a million years. Still thought we would give it away at the end. Rep is going to the poster that predicted the win early in the thread.

By the way, there was a screen shot of LeBron right before the losing shot. It was a strange expression. It's like he knew it was coming and that he would miss. I hadn't seen that look since the first half.

The Jazz problems at the moment are much centered around leadership. If they had it, they wouldn't need an all-star laden Heat team to come around to get them pumped up. It is hard for DHarris to exude leadership when he's struggled so much. Same with Millsap. So the only viable alternative is Big Al, who, regardless of what side you take on him, is ball hog at a proportion higher than his production - and that doesn't sit well enough to have him have absolute leadership position.

So when things go well, team does fine. When things go bad, there is no leader to right the ship. Let's see hope the miami game gives enough momentum to win a few of these road games coming up.

If you don't like this game you don't like NBA basketball®.

Seriously, what a damn game, though I'm a bit bummed they nearly let an 18 point lead slip away. Still, that shot by Harris was absolutely thrilling. Seeing Watson being the first to congratulate him off the bench was awesome to see as well.

yup, thanks for being voice if reason.

My money is on Alec Burks to emerge as the leader. I am convinced he has more confidence than the rest of the team combined. Not this year, but the dude is absolutely fearless.

Agree on the entertainment level. While some level of bummed, i think Miami is good enough to claw back without it being the Jazz fault completely (Lebron hit like 6 in a row or so.) But the fact that the Jazz battled hard there at the end was a change from the usual.

He's fearless .. but he's not a leader of a contender.

Agree. I think Burks and Kanter are options going forward to be leaders, Hayward and Favors not so much.
