Miles to Nets?

I think Miles is a more valuable asset off the bench than some of you, but Anthony Morrow for Miles would be a steal.

A steal?

Morrow's shooting percentages the last 4 years:

2009 47% 46%
2010 46% 45%
2011 45% 42%
2012 43% 38%

Remind you of anyone?

Morrow is just another one of these dumb ****ing dummies that will shoot you out of games if you give him enough touches.

Just like Miles, the longer his leash the worse he performs.

Unlike Miles he makes more money and is not expiring.

I agree with you to some extent. I saw the 3P% stats earlier and didn't like that it was declining each year, but hadn't noticed the same with the overall FG%.

However, Miles' shooting hasn't been a picnic, and even in his best 3P% year, he just barely beat Morrow's worst (this year).
2006 37% 25%
2007 35% 22%
2008 48% 39%
2009 46% 35%
2010 43% 34%
2011 41% 32%
2012 38% 30%

That's why I consider Morrow an upgrade, but I'm not saying he's any sort of superstar.

Morrow is an upgrade over CJ. I'd make this trade all day. Morrow's numbers have declined but they are still better than CJ's, and Morrow's been playing on a much crappier team, even though he does have Deron. Now that Al is starting to pass out of the block, we could use a more reliable shooter to turn those passes into at least somewhat reliable jump shots.

1. Morrow is still a MUCH BETTER shooter than CJ.
2. Makes more money? $300k is virtually nothing.
3. What difference does him not be expiring make? The Jazz won't be players in free agency until at least 2013 (when Morrow expires).

What the ****?

No Miles is what we need.

Here ya go!

Hey! I do not appreciate your frivolity this early in the morning.

JK, pile it on.

Whether or not Morrow is better than Miles is really not my point. Although I watched Morrow play more than most around here and the difference between the two is negligble with Morrow having a near zero basketball IQ.

I see a lot more upside in Burks and even Hayward than I've ever seen in Morrow - Dump Miles for a second round pick and then split his minutes between the two.

We are not getting a high or mid first round pick for Miles. If we did the Net's fans should demand the Net's GM head on a platter.

+#1 pick is ******* crazy. They're two picks are in the 5 -10 range right now. Yes, please.

Do it! That would give the Jazz 8 players (possibly) in their 3rd year or less next year. 7 of those lottery picks. Talk about potential and youth.

No more Morrow?

Stefan Bondy: Jazz trying to unload Raja Bell and CJ Miles, a good friend of D-Will. Heard Nets could be doing something involving Petro + No. 1 pick

One word: protection.

More words: I can't imagine NJ would just give away a top ten pick for Miles, even if they get a save on Petro (or Petro and Morrow). They'd at least put a lottery protection on it and Pick Watch 4.0 would be a multi-year affair.

Maybe Deron agrees to re-sign if the Nets pick up CJ? Then it would make sense for them.

<----------------- just being dumb.

Sigh, I think you're right. I can't imagine them giving away this years pick, unless they know for sure that they're getting Howard, and they're intent on clearing cap space. Im honestly totally fine with a top 3 protection, I just want to get like a 7th-8th pick. Imagine getting all three picks in this draft..........we could get Miller, Lillard, AND Rivers.....

Lillard
Burks/Rivers
Hayward/Miller
Favors/Millsap
Kanter

IF (IF) I knew I was getting Lillard and Rivers, I'd take MKG over Miller .. all day. Lots of reasons (he's a lockdown defender, huge rebounder, and great slasher .. and most importantly he is a fantastic locker room guy for a young team).
