Penny Hardaway before his knees disintegrated was a 6-7 point guard who could do alot of things, but really like to post up smaller guards and could go middle and dish or spin baseline and could elevate and dunk with ease. Really dont' see the similarities to Burks, but if we absolutely must compare Burks to another NBA player, at this stage in his career he reminds me of a young Derek Anderson.
Comparisons aside, the one thing Burks has you can't teach is that natural ability around the rim, where he can hang, absorb contact and still get his shot off. Has the first-step, the natural quickness and elevation, but that craftiness and body control around the rim is what could make him special imo.
