I read an article where he was suspended for having a backpack full of necklaces and bracelets and "robbery paraphernalia i.e. screwdrivers, lock picking stuff, etc ..." can't remember where I read it at though. Don't remember all of the details so don't take it as gospel, but it was something along those lines. He has had a few run ins. Once again doesn't mean he is a bad kid, just means he is not above making mistakes also.

The way I understood that story is:
He was found to have some stuff (jewelry or whatever) and a screwdriver. Nothing was reported stolen (and supposedly he was only holding it for someone who apparently verified his story), so they took no action. Instead, they suspended him for the pipe and marijuana residue which they found at the same time.

I forgot, he was also caught writing something on the wall previously. So he had the 2 incidents. 1 writing on the wall, and 1 caught with pipe and marijuana residue.

O.K. I hadn't read that clarification, but if its true then good. No one is changing anyone's mind. I appreciate the dialogue, I like to play devils advocate sometimes, although on this occasion I'm not completely convinced I am. Maybe its just the idiotic celebrity, politician and media rhetoric that is driving me bat**** crazy. I just want the legal process to play out before anyone is crucified. If the Chief and State Attorney are really covering this up, which really makes no sense as to why they would be, then thats ****ed up. Time will tell I guess.

The only explanation I can think of as to why the chief and state attorney would cover this up, is because Zimmerman's dad is a retired judge. He probably called someone, and next thing you know the chief and state attorney hop in their cars and drive down there (on a Sunday night I believe) and tell the lead investigator he has to let Zimmerman go.

But how often do people who are outweighed a ton go off and attack the other person? I've seen it a couple times at a bar, but alcohol tends to reduce one's sense of self preservation. And in most instances weight does matter in a fight. Skill may trump it, but often people who fight have no skill at all.

I just read on the police report Martin is 6' tall and weighed 160 lbs. Not 6'3.

Also find it weird on the police report, they listed everyone's weight, even the witnesses, but failed to record Zimmerman's weight.

Also, he doesn't look like the kind of fat slob that would get beat within an inch of his life by a kid who was 100 pounds lighter.

Good, if it's true they should be called out on it. I don't give a damn about the racial angle of this case, and have never brought it into what I consider what's bad about this case. That if Zimmerman would have just minded his own business it's likely none of this would have happened, unless this kid was just itching to kick someone's *** and kill them, which is essentially his defense.

I didn't get any of my info from The Today Show, or a right wing nutjob website.

The Today Show isn't even considered news, is it? I haven't seen it in like 15 years, and only seen a few episodes during my whole life.

In addition to that, I never heard the altered recording. I only heard the version where the dispatcher asked for the race.

If they really did this, shame on them. But it isn't any worse than the right wing nutjob website "enhancing" (photoshopping) that police station video. I don't see any outrage, or even mention of that anywhere.

I don't see MSNBC admitting that at all. I see a guest on one of their shows making that claim, but they in no way "admitted" it was true.
