What's new

Game Thread: Utah Jazz Vs. Phoenix Suns April 4th @ 7:00 PM

Millsap and Hayward had a nice line tonight. Favors with 9/8 in 14 mins. Jefferson with that clutch jumper of his. Just a bit too much Nash.

We go to ****ing CJ Miles on the final play. CJ Miles guys.

**** you Corbin.

Jefferson is looking less and less like a winning player under any circumstances. He can score but he struggle to defend so badly and his rebounding is subpar. He is trying and doing his best but he just doesn't have it. If we can trade him for anything useful we have to do it.

Is a smaller contract for a couple of years useful?

Just think how competitive we'd be if we weren't brutally overmatched at the PG every night. We're fairly solid everywhere else.

Notice how our win streak happened when Harris was playing better.

We go to f*cking CJ Miles on the final play. CJ Miles guys.

F*ck you Corbin.

I think you're my favorite poster. Just came in to check on the Mega Melt and here you are right on cue. Super job jackwagon. Norm the MeltMaster.

FYI the Bench and the refs lost this game for Utah, since you weren't watching.

Millsap wanted the win, too bad no one else wanted it. Nash is just crazy clutch and cool the entire time. I was disappointed by kanter performance, mis match with lopez, miles 3 pointer, and the Jefferson defense. Best part, Ty will play the vets even while the jazz tank.

I don't understand the point of having Big Al on the court during the 4th quarter if he sucks on offense like he did tonight. Yeah he made a crunch time shot, but Favors is so good defensively that I don't think we'd be in such a tight situation if he played more.

Al looked gassed tonight....big time.

And if the Jazz finished 0-66 with Corbin running a lineup of Carol-Watson-Tinsley-Harris-CJ for 48 minutes every night you'd still find a way to defend him.

We're on different ends of the spectrum, but I prefer the reality side.

I agree that Kanter was bad but Jefferson was equally bad and he continued to get minutes. Favors out played Jefferson in less than half the time.

We lost a good 8 pts on charging calls

Wow, the Jefferson haterade is strong tonight. Justified, but very strong.
I've been biting my tongue, but dude has sleep-walked through the last two games, which is unacceptable from your highest paid player during a playoff push. Plus, He had 22 more minutes than Favors, who brought it strong tonight.

I don't like blaming the refs in games that would've been wins anyways with smarter coaching.

btw, blame Jefferson all you want for his dreadful defense, but during a timeout in a tie game where the other team has the final shot, a competent coach would've subbed in Favors for Al.

A competent coach would anyways.

Al got murdered on switches tonight. Especially that second to last jumper Nash hit. Favors would have blocked or denied it.

More than anything - that turnaround, desperation three-pointer from near mid-court by Frye was what cost us the game. Talk about a game-changing play. A lucky one.

The moment the pass went to Cj I new we were screwed. Forget the fact that Miles wasn't in a position to get off a good shot. Even if no one was around him and he had time to set his feet and square up, he still would've missed. Cj is just missing something upstairs that holds him back.

One last thing..... Did someone forget to tell the refs the game was in Utah. Phoenix seemed to get away with a lot tonight, and the benefit of a lot of no calls. I'm not blaming this game on the refs, if the jazz don't go through the motions the first 3 in a half quarters we win regardless of the refs.

If you can come up with a sanity driven argument about how something other than the Bench and the Refs had a greater negative effect on the game I'd love to hear it. What did you want Ty to do? Those bench guys flat out didn't get it done. Those are the guys you want on the court more. That's why Ty's a retard right?

The reality is this team has become thin at the wrong time. Kanter is just not a reliable option. I like him but he's just not going to get to where he will for a year or so. Burks likewise, although he's farther along. The ONLY reliable wing Utah has right now is Gordon and that's why he played so much. Really CJ had a great game as far as he goes. You want to get down on him taking that late shot, ok, but the Suns played great D on that inbound. Maybe you should be mad at the other 3 guys for failing to get open.

Utah wins this game if Howard plays, if Harris plays, or if the refs call the game fairly.
