Of all social issues, and news stories, to choose from it's amazing that group chose defending Zimmerman as the one thing they could all come together on.

I said alleged. It's a fact he shot and killed Trayvon Martin. The courts have to decide on whether it was a criminal act. What is hard to understand about that?

Both sides seem to exist for the sole purpose of balancing each other out.

Big mistake going for 2nd degree not just manslaughter. He won't be convicted even IF it goes to trial. The state of Florida will be burnt to the ground. Better go to Disneyworld while you still have the chance.

I wonder if the cold hard facts will ever be laid out for all to see. Especially if this case never goes to trial.

Um, I'm pretty sure that's why they went with 2nd degree murder; they knew it wouldn't stick. I believe they HAD to charge him with something, thanks to the media and the Rev's, and so they hit him with something that is sure to acquit. Makes sense to me from everything I've read.

If they are just trying to appease people, do they really think that putting on some half assed trial show is going to work?

"Individuals" are smart, cunning and innovative. "People" are dumb and easily led. I think it will take enough of the edge off to prevent another Rodney King type riot.

Stoked pretty much nailed it. Just look at what the media was able to do with this case -- it's almost unfathomable. How many of these arm-chair attorneys said, "Ha! It's about time they got him!" and won't waste another second reading or caring about this case? I'd bet most of 'em.

That could be true, though I am confident Jackson and Sharpton will be able to stir the pot enough when the case is dismissed to cause real **** storm. I do appreciate the logical discussion though. Suck it Lundegaard.

Oh I am sure there will be indignations and "righteous fury" over anything decision made. No matter what the state of Florida does they lose. Just a tragedy all the way around.
