How are we suppose to score without Jefferson? Our defense isn't going to be so improved that we shutdown the top scoring team in the league just by taking Jefferson's minutes below 30. We need him like it or not.
As long as Ty Corbin is the coach and Al jefferson is on this roster, Favors will NEVER get more minutes than Jefferson. Keep dreaming

You cannot win with a C that cannot play any D. We can get points elsewhere. For one thing, Hayward is NEVER featured in the offense when Big Al is on the court.
Jefferson's defense isn't that bad. It's not like his (lack of) defense is what cost us the game yesterday. Everyone has to step up and we have to get Jefferson going offensively. He creates a lot of open looks with the way the defense sucks into him when he gets deep position.
Yes, his defense is that bad. Yes, it was one of the main factors in the loss.
He may create "open looks" but nothing comes from them as his only pass is back out to Harris on his side. Has his passing improved? Yes, it has gone from F- to D+, still very poor.
Harris (30) Tinsley (18)
Hayward(24) Burks (24)
Carroll.(18) Millsap.(18) Hayward(12)
Millsap.(20) Favors(28)
Jefferson.(30) Kanter(12). Favors(6)
Bell, Howard, and Evens should only play if players get injured, or get in foul trouble. I like this 9 man rotation.
Yes, perfect.

5th rated center in passing.
Tied for 8th in PF in passing.
Not to mention he has much fewer TO's than any of those guys.
And he is only D+ passing?

You have the stats, I will give you that. Stats don't tell all though. I watch the games and I still see poor passing from Al, considering the number of times the teams goes to him, the time he hold the ball, the consistency with which doubles and triples come to him. He rarely seems to anticipate and make a great pass, he makes good ones sometimes when forced to. Everyone was ooohing and aaaahing over the one against the suns like he was the second coming of Stockton, but he only made that little pass to Sap after he was absolutely completely trapped by the triple team.
There was no offense to speak of yesterday, Jefferson in or out. Harris wouldn't run anything so they optioned Hayward on the other side of the floor. All he could do is hold the ball for 8 seconds then drive to the middle hoping to get fouled. That worked for 12 ft's but it was disasterous the rest of the time.
Jazz need to run and play transition offense when Spurs do get back. Don't let them get set or you're going to shoot a poor percentage. Al Jefferson doesn't play big into that game plan. They need to attack and not let up for 48 minutes.
Even if the Jazz want to play a transition game, they can't be in transition every play. Big Al is still needed if the team wants to have any chance of winning.
And since most of the board wants Al traded (me included), how does that help his trade value by us benching him for nearly half the playoffs?
