Following potential 2012 draftees

Some quick things (mostly for Hottttttttrrrrrrrrrrtrrrrrrrrrrrrrmikkkkkkm):

-Scola is crap. If he wasn't 90 years old, could defend anything, wasn't a greasy turd, and if the Jazz didn't perpetually have too many PFs, then maybe you think about it.
-The rumored trade is Kanter AND Millsap for #14 and #16. If you're point is that 'y should milsap have any value', the answer is that Houston is asking and Millsap has been the Jazz's best player for the past two seasons (excluding Deron). I'll refrain from going full-bore into a point I've probably made hundreds of times and just say that Millsap is kind of the heart and soul of this team. For the better. If the Jazz trade him, it's because they don't plan on extending him.
-Why so high on a weak, unathletic, short, big-mouthed, chucking SG that couldn't beat the juggernaut that is Lehigh and hasn't proven a damn thing in the NBA? No one in the draft has proven anything and while I'm into getting a pick, most picks bust out.
-You've talked about how the league is changing into more running and less plodding as a point against Kanter, despite that he actually runs the floor well and has done a remarkable job picking up ballhandlers in the pick and roll. Simultaneously, you seemingly support keeping Al instead of Millsap because milsap 2 short ok and Jefferson is late-career Shaq-esque in his impact in transition (not to mention that he's one of the absolute worst defenders in space that I've ever seen).

That is what I call a throw down.

When everything is factored in, Enes had a great rookie season. I'm speaking, of course, of what we saw on the court. If the jazz elected to trade him, it would be because of what the fans didn't see, IMO. I think this is pretty unlikely, since he seems like a good kid.

You don't let 19-year-old ox-strong centers go for late lottery picks. That's the definition of ****ing retarded.

My guess is that early offseason negotiations start on the ridiculous side of things. All parties know they have time to work their **** out, so why not enjoy the talks; perturb the other side and see how they respond; all that stuff is data. You're on the company dime, so, wine and dine. I'm 100% positive that negotiations are totally different when time is actually more of a factor.

Which tells me that it will not be until about June 27th or so until we hear nothing and then we will know that things are truly real.

100% agree.

I'm in the camp that says wait until we know if the GSW pick is ours or not - If the Jazz have #8, Kanter, (Millsap, Al, or Devin) and we're able to take back a bad contract i.e. Tyrus Thomas - Wouldn't Charlotte listen for Anthony Davis? I see Kanter as an asset amongst many such as the GSW pick, Memo's TPE, and a bunch of expirings to get a true star to put with the Favors/Hayward/Burks combo...

I hate jumping into an ongoing conversation on the board, especially to post something diverting from the current conversation. So I will add my opinion on trading Enes and then post something new.

I like the Turkey, I thought Jonas had more potential, but since Enes is here I like him. I thought he played well considering his age, how long he has played, and lack of summer league/training camp --if the jazz trade Enes it will be because of personality issues not basketball.

NOw this about this years draft:
“This is a one-player draft,’’ agent David Falk told the Observer Monday, referring to Kentucky freshman big man Anthony Davis. “Picks two through eight, there’s not a lot of separation. There’s just not a lot of difference between (Michael Kidd-)Gilchrist, (Andre) Drummond or (Harrison) Barnes. A lot of teams will be looking to trade down because the difference from two through eight is miniscule". Charlotte Observer

Not really a shocker, I think they say this every year, and KOC says something like "why trade down and risk not getting the guy you want?"

kool. Now we can just trade our #8 (which we are obviously going to get) for #2-#4, and draft MKG.

I pretty much agree with the 2 - 8 thing, btw. Not exactly sure that that warrants dubbing it a 'one person draft' though.

I'd still rate Kanter as top-5 in this draft. And if he had gotten to play in college, I'd say he would've almost been a lock for top-3.

I may or may not be high.

How do you guys feel about Khris Middleton? He was pretty good two years ago, but this year he was hampered by injuries. Maybe a solid pick in the second round?

I cannot believe that KOC would consider trading Kanter for the 14th and 16th pick. The idea of including Millsap is beyond any reasonable understanding. If the Jazz trade Kanter they are admitting they screwed up so what gives anyone the idea that they are going to get the 14th and 16th pick right. If they wanted to get two picks they should have tanked the season by playing the young guys. I just think some Clutchcity nerd is having a moment of wishful thinking.
