Someone posted this in another thread, but I thought it was important enough for it's own thread.

Just finished taking Utah Jazz big man Enes Kanter through his initial assessment at P3. Enes is an absolute beast, and at age 20 already one of the strongest NBA players that we have tested. His lower extremity bilateral force characteristics are very symmetrical in dynamic movement....Enes takes too long to reach peak force and needs to improve his hip extension, lower extremity power/acceleration and eccentric adaptation. He also reaches instead of drives when accelerating in all planes. We are very confident that we can improve these qualities, and enable Enes to become a much more explosive athlete on the basketball court.

Very promising promises from P3.

No news on Burks.

Here is their FB page where they post updates https://www.facebook.com/PeakPerformanceProject?filter=1

And yet Al was able to hold him off that bucket of chicken.

I want him moving laterally nearly as well as Ibaka. If he can do that (and therefore guard the PnR even better) and continue to clean the glass, then he has a bright future. I fully expect his offensive game to develop on its own in every aspect except for passing (which I'm very concerned about; I don't know who he should work with on this, but I hope he is).

I think you are going to have to tame your expectations a bit on that front.

I recognize that I'm pointing to a ceiling/limit. That's fine. His hombre Millsap can teach him a lot about improving in these ways + he seems to have the desire.

I think you are pointing passed a ceiling and at the moon. Kanter can improve his movements, but he will never be able to touch Ibaka's ability to move laterally.

A ceiling is a ceiling, I have no idea what the hell you're trying to say here. Hopefully he hits that level? Will he? Probably not, but why not pull for him?

He can significantly improve from where he is right now simply by developing a better feel for the game. If he also does appropriate training + sets his goals on this aspect of his game, then he'll go way beyond where Cyrone Torbin thinks he can go. Quote me.

He just wants to argue with NAOS. He is not trying to say anything past "let's fight".

But badass. I want to see a few more people join them. Namely Hayward, Favors, Millsap, Evans, Tinsley and Carrole

If they can make him a more explosive athlete, like they say, then watch out NBA. Watch. Out.

I often drool over the kind of potential Favors and Kanter have as a 4/5 combo. They could easily become the best front court in the league.

I don't think Cy is trolling here. I don't see how Kanter can ever move laterally as well as Ibaka. Those expectations are somewhat unreasonable. Ibaka is very quick footed and athletic. Kanter is thick and relies heavily on his upper body strength.

Kanter's lane agility and sprint numbers (at the combine) were very good. Sooo much of his "lack of athleticism" is due to game experience; nothing but rebounding was translating very easily.

He'll never touch Ibaka's leaping ability (obviously), but I was clearly talking about another aspect of athleticism.
