Serious question NAOS .. sincere.

Would you say that you do not believe in God because of religious BS that was a turn off .. or just that it's completely illogical .. or both?

Also, do you feel it would be intellectually dumbed-down of you to ever claim God exists?

my spirituality has very little to do with logic or proof. I'm not that kind of intellectual.

The short of it is this:
Human-centric accounts of the nature of the universe (and the God-is-manlike arguments that are a subsection of this), fail to grasp the complexity of the world. They are "human, all too human."

Half of my family is very Mormon, and I still have dozens of close friends that are Mormon. I actually prefer the mormon cosmology over trending Evangelical renderings of things.

^ but Trout won't have this. I'm a victim ^

you were saying I came across like an ***. I implied that 300 posts of insider-ish assumptions about the nature of God could conceivably end up sounding ***-like. Am I wrong?

Does a bear **** in the woods?

No one's ever asked and I've never mentioned, but I am an evangelical .. to be fair, since I know the religious faith of most on this forum.

Look dude, if you think that the way you were communicating with other posters in this thread was perfectly fine, reasonable, and the others are simply way too easily-offeneded, then go on right ahead. I was just trying to point out that there are better ways for you to communicate your opinions on matters like these. The notion that two people of different faiths cannot have civilized dialogue is a humorous one to me, and it kinda irks me when I see people of two different parties getting into this sort of riffraff. In this instance, I felt that it was your fault, so I tried pointing this out. Seeing as I feel like you're not really understanding my point, I will respectfully return back to my silence, posting lacklustre PKM insults, poorly-crafted photoshops, and KOC-worship (no homo) threads instead.

Finally, undeniable, irrefutable statement with 100% empirical data to support the truth.

I can't wait for his reply on this one. I bet it is intellectually astronomical.

You related to Nicole Sherzinger? You have about as much class as her.

She's from Louisville, apparently. Probz a 'Tuck thing, kinda like bad-teeth and lack of intelligence.

You have missed what I've tried to say.

You and Trout reacted almost violently to my use of the word "allegedly."

If I can't say that, then what kind of space is there for true respectful dialogue? In other words, if I can't call the literal reading of the bible into question, then it is the forces that react violently that are the problem. It's a book, for hell sake.

I never said I had an ounce of class. Never said a nice head of teeth. Never said I was of high intellect.

Now what?

Violently? Dude, I aint Mormon. Id say that that is exaggerating it a bit. Why the hell should I care? God never exists in human form according to the Quran. I was simply trying to point out why some might be offended, and maybe give a tip for future religious discourse.

Way to take all the fun out of it.

Off topic: I'm starting to think that NAOS is SaltyDawg.

Well:

thank God you have money my friend; thank God you have money.

I agree NAOS.

Btw, you are allegedly a dumbass bitch that can't take the fact that nobody here pities you for going to hell.

Awesome how that word makes everything a-ok.

And to be clear, I certainly wasn't offended. I hate dicks like NAOS that have zero respect for people and their beliefs, and feel the need to thrust their views of religion and why theirs is right, down other people's throats. It just so happens that I agree with him about the Bible, but not the way he was treating other people on the board.

you've projected a lot more disrespect than I actually put out.

Having an Oedipal moment?
