For those of you who have seen all of them, or just about all, which do you find to be the best? To me, it's between four. From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball and Casino Royale. I liked most of Moore's but he just didn't embody Bond like Connery did and how Craig has in a way as well. Dalton and Brosnan Bond movies were just corny as all hell. The Lazenby (sp.?) one was maybe the most underrated imo. I actually liked it quite a bit. But if I had to pick one, I'd go with Thunderball I think.

Most of those Bond movies are older ones, and I'm having a hard time remembering which is which.

I agree that the Roger Moore ones weren't serious because Roger Moore was barely a better actor than the average game show host. The Roger Moore movies are what inspired the Austin Powers satires. They were that bad. Still, "The Spy Who Loved Me" or "For Your Eyes Only" (one of those) was cool, since it had one of the best Bond girls and had the Lotus that turned into a submarine.

I agree that the Pierce Brosnan movies were corn. Anything with John Cleese as 'Q' can't really be taken seriously. One of the movies (with Denise Richards) ended with the line, "I thought Christmas only comes once a year...." No way can that stuff be taken seriously. It's more of a spoof on itself.

I liked Casino Royale, (although I'm referring to the modern remake), since the characters were intense and the movie was more drama than comic-book hero stuff. For that reason, I also like Quantum of Solace. I like most of Daniel Craig movies.

I can't keep straight what the plots of Thunderball, Dr. No and Goldfinger were, but they were Sean Connery movies and were all pretty good by Bond standards.

Octapussy had to be the all-time low. It cast a 2nd-tier tennis player and made a thinly veiled reference to some villain's harem of trained killer babes.

Always a fan of The Spy Who Loved Me. Yes, that is a Moore film, but it's the one I may like the most.

Denise Richards as a scientist is the worst.

Lazenby had the looks of Bond, but the voice chops of a wounded duck.

Goldfinger was good, but I'm not as high on it as others. I think I like From Russia with Love better.

I think Moonraker is the worst when it comes to corn.

I think the one with Halle Berry is the best Brosnan Bond, Diamonds Are Forever, I think.

Fixed for you.

Um, where's the option for "They are all pretty terrible"? I can't think of any scenario where I would sit down and think, "Hmmm, I would really love to watch a James Bond movie!" They really aren't good. At all.

Ive never seen any of these My dad tried to show me one once and I fell asleep I think it looked like it was Made by a junior high film Club But I voted for the spy who loved Me because Austin Powers Spy Who Shagged Me is funny

Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Casino Royale are the three that come to mind.

It's hard to compare Casino Royale with classics like Dr. No or Goldfinger. It's like comparing basketball teams from the 60's with teams today.

Having said that, I picked Casino Royale.

I've only seen one James Bond movie all the way through, so I don't have an opinion on the best one. I am a bit curious as to whether or not any of the movies are tied together like sequels or if they're all pretty much standalone.

They all stand alone for the most part.
