Following potential 2013 draftees

OT: There is more talk of a 2-and-done rule being implemented by the NBA that would start on the '14 recruiting class. This has led Wiggins (no link, btw) to think of reclassifying to 2013.

This kid is NBA ready (maybe not to start, but 6th man ready .. and he still has 2 years of HS left. The thought of him having to play two more years of HS and then two additional years of college before being draftable is mind-boggling. Wouldn't blame him for reclassifying.

Rick Barnes has an unlimited recruiting budget and a crackerjack staff that recruits the **** out of the entire nation from CA to NYC. But damn, no coach in America has done less with more in the last 10 years than Rick has. The talent that has come through Austin is mind-boggling, and they've got one Final 4 to show for it? C'mon.

I really hope they don't change the rule. I like how it is now.

And yeah, Wiggins would be smart to reclassify. Parker and Wiggins in the same draft? Damn.

Finally bored enough to take a look at the next draft class. The hardest part is not knowing is Marvin wlliams is the Lon term solution at sf for the jazz. Also how quickly is kanter going to improve.

Based on need pg, sf, big and sg in that order.

Pg are again week but I see a few that could climb the ladder.

Cj McCullum is going to be the biggest climber. Can we sai lillard. Games are similar the way they play with a chip on their shoulders. Both are said o be gym rats. Watch this kid.

Bj young 2 guard that needs to learn to run the team. Great scoring instincts. Very smooth. If he learns to run Alabama he will be a lotto pick.

Ryan harrow cat quick pg that is more of a traditional pg, meaning he looks to pass. Kid is rail thin. Shot is very inconsistent. If he works on the outside shot at uk he is a top 20 pick.

Trey Burke a do it all pg. heights is one of the things hurting him but does a little of evey thing

Myck kabongo was a lotto pick coming out of hs but struggled last year. Needs to get an outside shot to fall to open his drives in a few years might be the steal of the pg class.

Isaiah Canaan is one I need to learn more about but a great shooter that excels in a the PnR. Might be a good get.

Sf

Adonis Thomas is one of those players that just flat out intrigues me. He is only 6-7 in shoes but is a prototypical sf. Likes to play defense and has a decent midrange game. If he developes a 3 pt shot he would be a very good draft.

Alex ploythres is of course the cream of the crop in our draft range. Kind of reminds me a little of Terrance jones but with more sf ability.

Have to run but will do more later.

Here is some good news from Draft Express:

"@DraftExpress: Good news from this weekend is there appears to be some really good PGs coming up from the high school ranks. Its been very dry lately #eybl"

"@DraftExpress: Tyus Jones, Joel Berry, Cat Barber, Tyler Ennis -- all made a strong impression this weekend I thought. Passing is back in style. #eybl"

It looks like PKM has been telling the truth that true PG's were very hard to find. It looks like here are some coming up. Too bad it will not be for a while.

To bad the jazz will not have a high draft pick for a while.

Even though I like our team, I do see regression as a possibility for this year.

I do too. When Millsap or Jefferson is traded, there will be a transition period for Favors, Hayward, Burks and Kanter to step up and start to lead this team in their own way. I could easily see the Jazz missing the playoffs while those guys learn to step up.

It really comes to what is the trade. If it is a player for player trade less of a transition if it is a player for picks yes or even player for young talent.

Perhaps. But the Jazz would still conceivably have three solid vets in the starting lineup (Mo, Marvin and either Millsap or Jefferson). And that's one of the reasons I really like the acquisition of Mo. He's the vet leader a young team needs.

He is from the Mississippi Gulf Coast like me. Know nothing about him other than that. The Jazz love Mississippi/Southern boys though.

Anyone familiar with Ricardo Ledo? I'm VERY intrigued by him. The way he plays is Durant-esque, even if he's only 6'6. Now, I've seen several places (including Chad Ford) list him as a PG, saying he has great passing abilities. Anyone know if he could actually become a PG? A young PG that big that can shoot the lights out would be perfect for this team.

Ledo is a huge talent. Not a PG. Has some character question marks (UK passed on him because of it).

Not sold on CJ.
Young plays for Arkansas.
Kabongo also needs to learn a speed other than go too fast.

Agree with the rest.
