Following potential 2013 draftees

Btw, my comp for Poythress is a better Terrence Jones, at everything.

That tells me something big. You have high hopes for TJones. Poythress must be a beast.

One of the things in like the most is that he is skilled with legit SF size and length.

He's not quite as strong as Jones, yet, but already has an NBA body and hasn't played his first collegiate game. He's a better shot, better passer, better ball-handler, and MUCH better defender.

This isn't mix, this is highlights from the Jordan Brand Classic game this year. You can see the skill, strength, and ELITE athleticism.

I don't know how to take this info. I take all of the skills that you just mentioned and add to it a good attitude.

He sounds the the perfect fit for a team like the Jazz that is going for a youth movement with a defensive anchor to build around.

It will hurt if/when Alex is gone well before the Jazz pick. I can't wait to watch more of him.

The video says he is 6'7" but he looks bigger and longer then that.

If he grew to 6'8" or 6'9" while keeping his skill speed and athleticism, he would have to be considered a top 3 pick right?

He's 6.825" right now.. as measured when checked in at UK. I think he'll go somewhere between 5 and 8, but it's waaaay too early to be making definitive statements or even reasonable projections.

6.825 in shoes?

Yes.

As for who goes before .. it's more of a projection than a lineup for me right now. Having said that, I see Muhammed, Noel, and Isaiah Austin definitely going ahead. Throw in Cody Zeller (yes, even with his t-rex arms), and maybe McAdoo and you start to see him coming in around 5 - 8. jmo.

Love Poythress.

Is Austin really that good?

Holy **** that kid looks good. Sort of reminds me of an athletic Steve Smith...smooth as hell...imagine if Burks develops and we start him at the 2 and this kid at the 3 and Favors at the 4 or 5...sick athleticism...with Hayward playing the Manu role as 6th man...good God..."That's just what the Hebrews thought..."

I am liking Adonis Thomas more and more. Seems to have a good attitude and works hard. Realizes what he needs to improve to make it at the next level. Doesn't mind playing defense either.

I've always liked Adonis. He's a bit of a tweener right now based on his current skillset. He's not quite skilled enough for the 2 (I'm being a bit generous) and he's undersized for the 3. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we'll see him progress very much under a still new (yet promising) coach in Josh Pastner. None of Josh' 5star players have progressed to this point and are, in fact, all under-performing. That leaves room to improve in the future, but is also invaluable development time lost.

I like Adonis as well. He's athletic, hustles, good defender, can post up a bit, and has actually turned into a good shooter (shot 41% from 3 as a freshman).
