BYU Football 2012

The opposite. Unable to get off of press. Bad adjustment to ball. But to tell the truth everyone looked bad even Hoffman. Maybe just an off day for the offense.

I have heard from others that Collie does look good.

Hoffman didn't play so we must have been at different scrimjages

Not surprised that byu is running their football program like an MLM.

Building your downline>>>Winning games
Correct. Definitely not like Utah and 99% of colleges out there where it's winning games>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything else.

Honey Badger is available. Scoop that cat up!

Ya, mine was a practice. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I wanna say it was Tuesday or Wednesday.

And to be fair to Collie, most all the WRs (including Hoffman) didn't look good.

No way. The guy is a proven weed smoker. I don't want that guy within 50 miles of me or my children if he's going to be smoking the wacky tobaccy.

He's a menace to society and deserves to be rotting away in a jail cell.

I thought he was smoking that spice stuff

Why would someone still smoke spice if it can show up on a drug test? I thought that was he whole point, it couldn't be detected.

Sounds like Ute material to me.

Apparently BYU just secured a home and home with Wisconsin today starting next year. So now we have Texas/Georgia Tech/Utah/Boise State in Provo next year and Notre Dame/Wisconsin/Hawaii/Houston on the road so far.

Independence blows. It sucks having all of your games on ESPN. How are we ever going to make it through the next few years without some conference logo to worship?

I'll definitely be impressed if its a true home and home with Wisconsin. Everything I've read says that Wisconsins return to Provo isnt announced yet. It could still be a 2 for 1 or one and done, or something where Wisc schedules the return game for 2019 and eventually buys it out. Have you heard different?

Looks like a one and done.

byu: "could we announce it as a home and home so we dont look bad? We dont need to set a date or anything."

Wisc: "Um yeah, do whatever. We'll definetely probably consider coming to provo city at some point maybe."

byu: "fetch yes!"

I'm a little confused. Before I explain what I'm confused about I have to admit I don't know how these sort of things work. Anyway, the home and home with Wisconsin was just announced about a month or so ago. That document is dated as of December 21, 2011. Something seems to be amiss here.

No idea about the date. I'm guessing they dont always announce stuff like this right when it happens.

To me it shows its a one and done because of the amount of money byu is getting, and the contract doesnt say anything about a return.

There could be a contract for the series and then a seperate contract for each game, but that wouldnt explain why there is a $1 mil payout for the game. That is the typical payout for a one and done game.

I get that haters will always hate so I know spinjobs will happen and they'll follow this post without a doubt.

Initially, BYU had to scramble for a schedule with Independence. This lasted like 1 year and the schedule sucked. But now with a nice sweet contract with ESPN (cuz they know BYU rocks) teams are beggin to play BYU and Holmoe is fighting them off with a stick. Here is a great team you got a shot at beating and you get to be on ESPN besides. So now the schedule is tougher and some would say maybe too tough. But better that than too easy.

If BYU planned on remaining independent than it could end there and Holmoe would find a nice balance in the schedule. But conferences are still talking to BYU (I know that kills Ute fans but sorry it's been true for decades). If BYU goes to a conference than those games become more difficult to fit in so BYU needs flexibility there. Hence, the TBA. Win-win because if those games don't happen it means BYU got paid (because they are feared) or BYU is in a new conference which is fine, too. It's not like Wisconsin makes or breaks BYU's schedule. They'll just fill it in with the next team wanting exposure. Shouldn't be too difficult. Remove Wisconsin and BYU is still playing Texas, Boise State, Georgia Tech, and Notre Dame next year (3 of those at home).

What is interesting is most schools use their conference as the tough part of their schedule and non-conference becomes scrimmage time. BYU as an independent has done the opposite. Renting the WAC while scheduling tougher non-conference teams.

Don't see why BYU should be knocked for the Wisconson deal. In fact, I think Holmoe should be commended on the strength of opponents he is getting. However, the problem still remains that BYU will have to play the majority of these tough games early in the season. It will be close to impossible for them to achieve schedule balance until they find their way into a conference.

Really? They should be knocked for the deal because byu announced it as a "1 for 1 we are big boys now" deal when it's likely just another one and done. Keep in mind Utah State plays at Wisconsin this year too.

You don't see the difference between the 2 for 1's and 1 and dones that byu is getting and the one for ones that Utah is? Kind of a night and day difference and a good opportunity for lulz to be had at byu's expense.
