It's frustrating when the team I am rooting for gets a big lead, all they have to do is grind it out, and they promptly starting turning the ball over and missing 3s.
If you sprint hard, you can injure your quad without being kneed.
I suspect that Andrei's style of play might make him more prone to this injury that the typical player.
my point is that when you get older, you are more prone to injuries just doing things you used to be able to do without injury
ak has ego problems?? you and i must know two different guys we refer to as ak.
look, he had a bad game today, no doubt about it. it's still ridiculous that, in a tournament totally ripe with examples of brilliant play where he brought russia to the semifinals, you're ignoring all the moments and games where he was undoubtedly an impact player and drawing your thesis based on a half minute in one bad game where he missed at the rim and then committed a dumb foul. come on, that's just lazy analysis right there.
last play I see, missed free throws for Andrei...first play I see, rebound for Andrei...
like old times!
You're right. Doug Collins doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. It's not like he's a coach in the NBA or anything.

I'd like to take Mantooth and Thriller behind the tool shed and zap them with some lasers ... what a bunch of dopes -- they're so tough on the chat boards. Probably are 98-pound weaklings in real life. Why this incessant attacking of Kirilenko? He never has been a great shooter. He had some misses today of contested shots that went in and out. No, he didn't have a great game but you can't fault him for trying; despite being way off, he made a three at a crucial juncture. And everyone misses foul shots; it wasn't like he was way off the mark. Shooting foul shots in the fourth quarter is not easy in a game when you're going all out and fatigued. It's the fatigue sometimes more than the pressure that forces the misses. And he wasn't the only one who had a bad game for Russia -- both Schved and Krapuya (or however you spell it) who are key players for them were both horrible today.
Schved and AK were awesome in the bronze medal game. Congrats on winning a great game against Argentina.
I agree It would have been extremely interesting, especially if your into things like this:Yeah, nice bounce back game for AK, 20pts, 8reb, 2blk and first medal for Russia as independent country in Olympic basketball history. Shved finally played like great game as well. To bad we never got to see this Russia team vs USA, would be very interesting game.
