Jazzfanz ALL-TIME Fantasy Draft

I was really considering him. I honestly thought that he would be available for another 20 picks or so.

I figured he and Reggie would both go pretty soon, and they did. Part of that is because the SG crop is relatively small, IMO. Plus, with Lebron on my team, I was much more concerned with finding another wing than a PG.

He's a perfect fit with both Lebron and my big guys.

Nice pick in Ray Allen and Reggie. They would have been my next two picks if they made it that far

You can plug in at least 6 point guards & seal the deal.

I gotta bump one of my players and say some things about him that I wasn't able to earlier.

His name is Dwayne Wade. My favorite player of all time. I feel like he is severely underrated even though he is highly thought of.

Dwayne Wade IMHO is a top 7 player of all time. How he slipped all the way to 26 is beyond me. He is right in the conversation with Kobe and Jordan. I don't know why he is left out constantly. He doesn't have a single weakness. He plays like he is 6'8" and he is only 6'4". He can score on anyone in any era. He can dunk on anyone from any era. He can block anyone's shot, no matter how big they are. His physical gifts are right there with Jordan (other than height) He is a superior defender and slasher to Kobe. Kobe is just a better shooter, and is taller. That doesn't mean he can't shoot though either, like some try to say. He could lead the league in scoring if he wanted to. He is as clutch as anyone there has been. The only difference between him, Kobe, and Jordan is that he hasn't had the luxury of having a number 2 in his prime until now. He had a fading Shaq and that is it. His finals performance in 2006 is as good as a performance as anyone in the finals.

Don't believe , or disagree, feel free to watch this free video I have posted. Take off your hater glasses and witness for yourself. Watch the video and then tell me he couldn't dominate any era. He would be a top 3 player in any era . If he had played with Jordan during the same era, there would have been an ongoing debate of who is better. But, because he is playing in a era of resented players, and an era that is in the moment, where enough time hasn't passed for the over glamorization to begin, he takes a back seat for now. When it's all said and done, 20 years from now, he will be recognized as one of the greatest.

People can talk all they want about the stats and play of guys like Jerry West and Elgin Baylor back in the day, but the truth is, D Wade would light these chumps up. I have eyes. Not one of those guys can do anything Wade can.

I'm not trying to just pump up my players. This is what I really think. I'm curious as to what some of you think. If one of you had picked him, I would sing the same glowing praise.

Wade is top-notch. I agree that he'd beat West etc. in a match up. I'd put him in the same category as guys like Drexler and Wilkins, but he's not on Jordan's level, IMO.

Not to pester you, but could you tell me why he isn't in the conversation? Other than the rings argument. Cuz to be fair, Wade isn't done and hasn't had the supporting cast as those guys. I would love to hear where you think he falls short.

Don't get me wrong either. I know Jordan and Kobe are better, just not by much. To me the difference is Kobe and Jordan shot more than him as far as numbers go

With my 4th pick, playing Point Guard for the WhiskyPriestzz...

"Pistol" Pete Maravich!

One of the most prolific scorer and passers in the game of basketball!

He averaged 44 points a season in college. 44 Points!!! Also, he had in the gym range! Pistol was creative and fun to watch. When I was a kid I watched his documentary. After watching it, I fell in love! I loved Pistol so much that I named my dog after him!

Most of his career was spent being played without a three point arch, but in the end of his career it was there. Pistol averaged 67% from behind the line. He wasn't going to shoot the three often, but when he let it go he was going to make it.

Here is a clip of him dropping 68 points in a game!

He might not be the greatest defender, but he stood at 6'5"... I think he would be fine in today's NBA.

Damn. Nice pick. I wanted people to forget about him.

He reminds me of Nash a little, but taller. One of the older guys I like a lot. Great shooter. Not really athletic though. Players these days would slow him down. But he would still be a good player in this era.
