Half of Americans die with almost no money

Well that's an easy one.
Because nobody has any money to buy anything anymore, and that includes land.

I thought you said the problem was too much money.

Isn't it easy to see that there's no opportunity left in this country outside of ground floor multi-level marketing, and winning the lottery?

There's plenty of opportunity. Carpe Diem, American.

And yes, under the constitution it is supposed to be a guaranteed store of value.

Obama thinks the US Constitution should guarantee positive liberties too. What other things does the Constitution allegedly require the government to provide for us? Why aren't you chasing opportunity instead of spending all this time seeking a government handout?

As it demands the government provide the people sound money.

Sound money is a soundbite & this term appears nowhere in the Constitution. But, alas, the Fed has provided us with sound money so you have gotten your wish.

I only got to the part where it said "Half of Americans die..." and I burst out into tears. Please tell me it's not true. Please.

But, alas, the Fed has provided us with sound money so you have gotten your wish.

The Fed has provided us with fiat paper, that buys almost nothing.
Where as gold and silver based currency made this country the most rich of any other nation.

How can you seriously have a picture of Benjamin Franklin as your avatar, and defend a central bank?
I assure you Franklin would never approve of a central bank.

You know you are free to barter in gold, don't you?
that doesn't sound right. Wouldn't people be legally required to report the gains and losses on the gold on every barter
transaction? That does not sound like a practical means of using gold as currency.

Do you think I should support a Benjamin Franklin like system?

Haha .. I have a biz partner who always says, "if I leave any money, at all, to my kids, it will only be by a slight miscalculation."

My dad is always saying that his goal to bounce the last check he writes before he dies.

Legally no.
Because the IRS code says it's "upon voluntary compliance" to pay taxes anyway.

Doesn't matter to me what you support, to each there own.
But that's obviously the incorrect avatar for you.

You could always change it to a picture of Stallin, considering a central bank is one of the pillars of the communist manifesto.

Are you claiming George Washington & Ben Franklin were communists?

Then don't leave your debt for other people.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

I believe the point is to do things with your money before you die, not to leave debt.
Do something good for the people around you, your community, your state, your country, things you care about.
I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

I would possibly change things up a little bit to have a little something for your kids to make it through tough times, but you can do that while alive. Donate the 13K per person allowed each year to your kids and help them out that way, so you don't leave this huge estate that will be taxed a great deal when you die.
