Romney Fundraiser - Secret Taping

Closed door fundraiser for Romney that was secretly taped where he essentially calls about half the country dead beats. Even if what he says has a small amount of validity or even if there was a kernal of truth in his assertions, what kind of complete, utter, cynical *** hole would get up in a room and say these types of things - a person running for public service no less. I can't believe this is the best the republican party can do. This has to be the most anti-american thing I've ever heard from a presidential candidate.

Seriously, forget politics for a second - what a d-bag.

I read your paragraph and watched the video and it seemed like I watched something totally different from what you described. I'm guessing the "forget the politics" thing isn't going to happen here. I see a guy talking campaign strategy, no more, no less.

You're missing my point.

My question is very basic and simple. If you really think that half the country is a bunch of losers and there is nothing you could do to reach them and you don't plan on bothering - then why the **** are you running for president?

He never said that he would ignore them while president. He is saying he shouldn't waste his time trying to persuade them for the month and a half he has left running up into the election.

This is the part where the right wingers--regardless of their economic reality--will pretend that they are the noble, hard-working, completely individual job creators and that anyone and everyone who has disagreements with them about how to grow and maintain a healthy society is a leech trying to impede their creating and start a drum circle.

Just because you read Atlas Shrugged doesn't make you a job creator. It makes you seventeen.

So people are impoverished because of a lack of personal responsibility?!?!

**** you Mitt Romney.

This is the part where the left wingers--regardless of their economic drain on our country--will pretend that they are the hard-working, artificially oppressed, no-we-built-its, and that anyone and everyone who has disagreements with them about how to grow and maintain a healthy society is a greedy pig trying to keep them from ever increasing their stage in life.

Just because you listened to every Al Gore speech doesn't make you environmentally conscious, it just makes you forever dumberer.

And this is the part where the left-wingers also say that you 1%ers wouldn't be able to last a ****ing DAY if the tables were turned, and perhaps YOU are the 26 year old fleeing with your wife and two children to America. You get here, and you realize that a) your Education doesn't transfer over, b) you can't go back to school, because you have no financial support, c) your kids will only be able to go to school if it means that you work 18 hours a day, 6 times a week for decades, meaning you won't even have the time to properly parent them, and find out that by the time your son turns 18, he has dropped out of school and found solace in a gang, because their parents were too busy trying to be "productive citizens" by barely scraping by, trying to make whatever money they can in the absolute most difficult of circumstances, while not having the time to take care of their children in the process.

Believe me when I tell you that I myself, living in a province with 3 million people, with only a MEAGER handful of scholarships being dealt out (i was never offered a full-one, though I received some partials), would probably not be able to go to College if it weren't for the taxes that my country paid, or this 'net' that my country has used to help me succeed. And what a shame it would be, seeing as I damn-near was the Valedictorian of my High School graduating class.

I wouldn't imagine Obama actually respects Americans generally. He is a visionary, and he has the path for us to a better way of life than we ever imagined, or understood, or wanted.

Anybody who actually respects Americans on average is not gonna run for office. "Who,. . . . me????" would be the wondering reply to anybody's suggestion that they run for dog catcher, or President.

That's why politicians talk down to the voters, and tell them things they imagine the people want to hear. And then go to New World Order UN committee meetings and plan how to manage, or manipulate us, into going along with the program.

Both political parties today are top-down propaganda outfits committed to imposing good government, as the elites imagine it, on us, whether we like it or not. Well, with the help of well-known sociological tools for inducing us to want what we're going to get.

This is the part where the moderates-- regardless of how right they are, will not be heard.

tl;dr

I already know;

Poor me, but I did it anyway.. once you actually have done it, there WILL be a part of you that doesn't find it fair that the kids in your school that ditched class, did drugs, worked as little as possible .. now want you to pay a higher share of your income so they can have more.

It's not all fair, life sucks, some people who deserve it don't make it, others that don't deserve anything, do .. but for the most part, people like yourself, that start from nothing, work harder, accomplish more than those who didn't, grow tired at some point of taking care of those who didn't.

I'm actually not at all this cold, just got on a rant. As I say regularly, I hate both parties, I am a moderate. I like to help, a lot, actually. I just HATE being TOLD it's my job to do so. Moral obligation? Sure.

I find it interesting that this is just coming out now. Right when there are people killing our ambassador and consulate workers in foreign countries. There are reports that the government was told that something might go down soon but they ignored them. They need something else to talk about to keep the heat off Obama and voila, out pops this video exposing Romney as a heartless ******* who hates poor people. Well played.

Ah yes because the "left-wingers" (or, the average person, who Willard seems to be targeting here--Republicans are a do-as-we-say-not-as-we-do thing when it comes to taking government money) are, in right-wing fantasy land, the “economic drain” of this great country. It is the teachers, cops, firefighters, steelworkers, retailers, and so on who crashed the economy in the first place, how could I forget? The magnificent creators who built it all themselves with only their god given ingenuity and dad's wallet, they the really oppressed. If only government would get out of the way and stop thwarting your success! I don't get it. This is a country that is so nepotistic it has actually shoved its head up its own ******* and is calling crap achievement. This is a borderline oligarchy, wherein the oligarchs are using the angst of middle-class whites to demonize any objection.

The American Dream is still alive, but it has been muted. I don't know how we can sit here and ignore a long-shrinking middle class. How long can we pretend that trickledown economics= anything but a scam?

Does the right actually believe its own BS? Do they believe Randian, laissez-faire policy is what = a growing bustling economy and opportunity for all who are simply willing to work for it? Do you believe that I just don’t work as hard as you?—excusing the fact that you, nor Willard, know anything about me and how much money I have taken (or haven’t taken) from the government.

Or is this a flawed, thinly-veiled moral crusade for the right? Jihadists who demand what they see as purity?

And I don't get the Al Gore thing. I don't think I've ever stayed awake through a whole Al Gore speech.

Sorry, I guess I should have been clear that I was just having fun with a little parroty, mate. :)
