Players eliminated so far:

ROUND 1) Roger Braille

ROUND 2) Earl Watson

ROUND 3) Kevin Murphy

Here it is jazzfanz, the return of Utah Jazz Survivor.

The game is pretty simple. Each round you will vote one player off the team. This will help determine who jazzfanz considers to be the Jazz' best assets.

Things to consider:

Length and terms of contract, player's potential, player's trade value.

For example, Big Al might be a better NBA player than Enes Kanter at this moment, but who is more valuable to the Jazz as an asset?

Well, in honor of our Irish player who's been voted off, here's a good "Murphy" joke:

Paddy & Murphy are working on a building site.
Paddy says to Murphy 'Im gonna have the day off, I'm gonna pretend I'm mad!'

He climbs up the rafters , hangs upside down & shouts 'I'M A LIGHTBULB! I'M A LIGHTBULB!'

Murphy watches in amazement!

The Foreman shouts 'Paddy you're mad, go home.'

So he leaves the site.

Murphy starts packing his kit up to leave as well.

'Where the hell are you going?' asks the Foreman.

'I cant work in the friggin dark! ' says Murphy.

Well, I believe Carroll is the only one with a non-guaranteed deal. That tells you what the Jazz FO thinks of him.

Oh I like his old school back to the basket pg that can dish the ball style but him being old puts him out of our future. So I voted him off the island. Looks like carrol is going to take this one though. I like his hustle plays and he is a decent long range shooter.

Okay, guys, I know Al needs to go, but you're seriously voting for him over Evans and Tinsley? You can't honestly believe that either of them have more trade value as Al.

yep, it's carroll, the most replaceable guy on this roster. followed by evans, who is redundant on a roster deep with big men who actually have big bodies, and then tinsley who is probably going to parade around on a segueway next year.

Voted Evans at this time. Carroll proved to be a valuable contributor coming down the stretch last year and Jeremy has yet to provide us with anything other than some nice highlights.

It isn't that they have more trade value. It's that the front office needs to cash in on Al's trade value while it still exists. The alternative is keeping Al as the focus of the offense while the young guys spend another year watching him.

There's no wrong way to do this.

It could be argued there's no right way to do this. I'm voting at a grade school level. I vote for whoever I "like" the least. Obviously, there's no scientific equation to quantify "like", hence there is no "right way"
