Nope, certainly not single-handedly. Late buckets by Harris, and-one by Millsap. Burks was the player of the quarter, but it most-deinitely wasn't a single-handed affair. Nor did he play a huge role in setting up baskets that other players scored, or drawing fouls/scoring in the last possessions of the game. Burks has never been in that environment. He'd probably thrive in it though, we just haven't seen it yet
EDIT: Thanks Thee, and Gli.
Oh so burks was not the only player who scored in that lakers game? thanks for informing me. So when you said hayward single handedly beat the lakers then i guess nobody else on the team had a single point or rebound huh? Stupid to say harris scored and millsap scored. Of course other guys scored. But i still have that game on my dvr and watched it a few weeks ago when i need a fix and burks was the main reason for the win. (although kanter played a great game as well, burks was the one to take over in the 4th quarter, which is what i think he will be doing alot for us in the future.)
As far a people complaining about burks shot selection: He only gets a few minutes and probably feels like he needs to show off his best skill (scoring) so he needs to put the ball in the basket as quickly as possible before he gets pulled.
I know this: Last year in alot of close games at the end we gave the ball to hayward for the final play and it usually was a big fail. I believe that burks will be the guy who gets those oppurtunities in the future due to his extreme confidence/cockiness
