Nassim Nicholas Taleb had a great quote today: "Now gun control may or may not work. But I doubt it will INCREASE these incidents. Which is why we should always analyse regulation in terms of upside/downside."

"I wish to God she had had an M-4 in her office, locked up so when she heard gunfire, she pulls it out and she didn’t have to lunge heroically with nothing in her hands and takes him out and takes his head off before he can kill those precious kids,” Gohmert said.
Clinton admin had a ban on assault rifles that ended a while ago. Pretty sure crime rate has been lower since the ban ended.
Stats please!
assault weapon ban didn't do much of anything. The rate was dropping before and after the ban.Thank you, glad to see the violent crime rate go down during the Clinton administration, source please.

The data speaks for itself, I don't need an interpretation of the data. All it shows is that the violent crime rate went down after 1992, feel free to interpret it any way you feel fit.
and after 2004 when the ban ended. Twist it the direction you want it.
Tell that to Tuscon, Aurora, and Newtown.
