If it's Bledsoe VS Rondo, I think Bledsoe will be a better fit.
I just don't think Ty can control Rondo.
Rondo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bledsoe
You're correct, Rondo would either get Ty fired or Ty would hand over the team to him ..
The Nets cannot trade thief pick in the 2013 draft because they already traded their 2012 pick and you cannot trade picks in consecutive years.
As much as I hate the idea of Humphries I'd be ok with it for a few reasons. First, like you mentioned he expires next year. That is perfect for this team. Second, Humphries is so limited that I can't see Corbin giving him major minutes ever. Third, getting a 2014 pick in return will be worth it.
This trade is much closer. I think Utah will want a pick from somewhere for them to accept this. It's a huge risk for them and they would only do it if they are not planning on keeping either Millsap or Jefferson this summer. I still think the Jazz will attempt to keep one of them. Of course they could make this deal and still attempt to re-sign one in the off season.I don't think Utah does my second trade, because trading away Al means that the Jazz will be in the lottery one year instead of a first round sweep.
Celtics will want Favors or Kanter and more for Rondo.
Rondo is an allstar PG.
Celts are looking to rebuild.
Agreed, I wouldn't give up Kanter or Favors for Rondo, unless we have the inside track at getting Noel in this next draft (99% chance at that not happening).
The board is all up in arms about getting a great PG, but it really isn't that necessary. We just need to find a good one.
MarShon is a poor-poor-poor mans version of Monte...I'd take MarShon Brooks. He has good upside.
BK has no assets other than Blatche to offer & salaries there wont match up for a potential trade unless theres a 3-way which involves Hump).I think the Nets are a good trading partner for the Jazz. They have an expensive roster comprised of players who have reached their ceiling, they're in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff standings, and they're desperate to contend in a year where they actually could if they make one more move. Sounds like a team that might be motivated to give up a bit extra. We've taken advantage of their all-in approach in the past with both the DWill trade and the Okur trade.
If I'm KOC, I'd try to use this to make something happen with a third team.
Like I said, the Jazz would have to take on at least Humphries.
Actually I'd do Millsap + Marv. Williams for Humphries + picks + fillers
Then we let Jefferson Walk.
So next year we start Favors & Kanter. Humphries off the bench, he can hold his own against reserves I'm sure. We get a draft pick, a decent 3rd big and get out of Marv's contract for next year.
