Official Warrior Watch: Draft Pick and Playoff Positioning

If we miss out on the post-season, the 14th pick is pretty solid. Ideally, we package that and Jefferson/Millsap to move into the top 8 or 9 and maybe land Oladipo or Porter. Then we package the GS pick and Jefferson/Millsap to move up as well to around #13 and maybe get Burke.

A Burke/Oladipo (or Porter) draft would be epic.

Burke
Burks-Hayward
Oladipo (or Porter)-Carroll
Favors
Kanter

That core seven would be sick and potentially awesome defensively.

You realize that neither Jeff nor Millsap are under contract after the season ends, right? The only way we can "package" them in a trade is via a sign-and-trade. Frankly, that seems quite unlikely for either of them. And sign-and-trades for BOTH of them is never going to happen.

Haha.

Yep. Im Baffled as to why people keep bringing that up

You obviously dont know what you are talking about.

Just leave it to the pro arm chair gm's. Such as myself.

LOL... wake up!!!

People have to be talking about S&Ts when talking about JefferSap, right?

Who knows what they are thinking. I don't see how a S&T is even likely anyways Unless its like the Boozer deal. I don't see the Jazz taking back some big contract. Otherwise, why wouldn't they have just made a trade before the deadline?

I think they just dont know whats going on.

Great night for the Jazz: Houston came back in the 4th against GS and the Lakers forced OT and then outlasted Toronto. Lottery and 18th seed...Here We Come!

Terrific night for the picks. For those that want to be optimistic and are likely to get your hopes dashed; of the Warriors final 19 games, 12 of them are against teams currently in the playoffs, at .500 or above, and/or on the road.

Root for the Blazers.

I doubt there is a huge benefit from getting a 14 pick versus a 15 pick.
Right now the Jazz would have the 16th pick (Milwaukee is in 15th place). The way the Jazz are playing, there's a chance the pick could be as high as 12th. LA is 1/2 game back, with Portland 2 1/2 and Dallas 3 1/2 back. Don't need to look at the non-playoff EC teams; Utah has no chance at slipping below any of them.

Yep. We're only responsible for our own actions.

I'll leave it at that.

Like I said, Warriors just not playing great basketball right now. Nearly losing to some bad teams at home, then getting beat at home by a fringe playoff team.

Also, Bucks are a very good road team (relative to being a fringe eastern conference playoff team).
