Kirelenko in Trade talks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would we ever trade AK to Denver? And all this for Diaw? Not worth it at all. I'd rather keep AK this year and resign him for cheap.

Still nothing from our local media......thats why Im calling BS. ESPN is wrong about 99% of the time.

Im calling BS, Diaw would be horrible on the Jazz.

Agreed, this does save the Jazz about 9M but still, plus no way does AK get traded and NOT GOT TO THE NETS !!

Plus, Favors + AK is 4M more in return to DEN for just Melo @ 17M.
Either way, why cant they adjust this to Diaw going to NJ & we get Murphy instead !!

Yeah, remember that time that ESPN had the Jazz trading for Al Jefferson? What a bunch of ********. Or when they said that Raja Bell stood up Kobe Bryant because Bell was going to sign with the Jazz? Bullshitters. All of them.

Yeah we are getting more out of this deal if the rumors are true (which odds are they are not) cause according to trade checker on realgm.com both Denver and New Jersey needs to send out more.

Ya I was trying to see why Utah had to be involved and like I said and others have said it would be better now to just let AK's contract expire and see what he can be re-signed for. Also Diaw's contract has 1 more year on it for 9mil, so that is 9mil this year and 9mil next.
I actually don't mind Diaw but not enough to lose AK and pick up Diaw's contract for 9mil for 2yr.

Just hears Mark Stein on Sportscenter say it's almost a done deal ONLY if Melo agrees to an extention with the Nets. Should be done by Monday.

Denver gets AK, Favors, and picks
Nets get Melo
Bobcats get Devin Harris
We get Diaw

How would this trade even work for the Jazz? Isn't Kiri making something like 17 million this year? How does Diaw's contract match up with that? How does this work?

We don't have to trade the same amount as coming in in multiple team trades.

Because AK's contract is close to Melo's is the reason why this works.

And because Diaw's contract is close to Devin Harris.

I think this would open up more playing time for Hayward and CJ Miles. And maybe Thompson if he is good enough.

we get a back up PF who would fit in the Jazz system. Not sure why everyone thinks he wouldn't. He works best in systems where they run a real offense. He loves to set picks and pass? How does that not fit?

I don't know what to think of this. I would hate seeing AK go to Denver, I think if we waited until the trade deadline we could get something better in return. On the other hand, Denver would lose Melo before the season even started, it would eliminate one of our main rivals.

I do think Diaw would fit in well as a backup 4. He atleast is durable and we can expect a full season from him.

I read that Denver needs to include something else to make the numbers work so I wonder if Utah might also get Birdman or JR Smith. If so I love it!! Smith and Diaw for AK or Birdman and Diaw for Ak not that bad. Birdman would be great depth and Jr would be instant offense that could thrive under coach sloan

yeah, Denver would have to send add'l salary to NJ not us.

even though I dont want to trade AK, I'd be happy w/ Murphy...

Since we're spinning the trade how about sub Memo for AK and keep the Murphy spin, makes sense to me.
Except for the part of it likely happening.

Everyone needs to realize AK's expiring contract is worthless this year. There is about 3 teams that have trade exceptions that are way more valuable than AK's contract. We aren't going to get talent for AK's deal. There isn't enough players that teams are trying to trade away. And the talent that is there will be for the trade exceptions. Not AK's deal.

AK would not hurt us being on the Nuggets. Once Melo is gone Nuggets are lucky to make the playoffs. They aren't even a threat anymore.

Trade him, we can just bring him back next year. Just please get more then Boris. I'm guessing we get some picks too, we always seem to get picks.

It's not so much the talent I have issue with as it is it would be better to keep him and just let his contract expire. Talent wise this is about as good as ones going to get but I'd rather keep AK then pay 9mil for 2yrs
