Im calling BS, Diaw would be horrible on the Jazz.
Still nothing from our local media......thats why Im calling BS. ESPN is wrong about 99% of the time.
How would this trade even work for the Jazz? Isn't Kiri making something like 17 million this year? How does Diaw's contract match up with that? How does this work?
I read that Denver needs to include something else to make the numbers work so I wonder if Utah might also get Birdman or JR Smith. If so I love it!! Smith and Diaw for AK or Birdman and Diaw for Ak not that bad. Birdman would be great depth and Jr would be instant offense that could thrive under coach sloan
Just hears Mark Stein on Sportscenter say it's almost a done deal ONLY if Melo agrees to an extention with the Nets. Should be done by Monday.
Denver gets AK, Favors, and picks
Nets get Melo
Bobcats get Devin Harris
We get Diaw
Horrible. Simply horrible. I'd have to seriously consider firebombing the ESA. A tremendous downgrade.
I don't know what to think of this. I would hate seeing AK go to Denver, I think if we waited until the trade deadline we could get something better in return. On the other hand, Denver would lose Melo before the season even started, it would eliminate one of our main rivals.
I do think Diaw would fit in well as a backup 4. He atleast is durable and we can expect a full season from him.
It's not so much the talent I have issue with as it is it would be better to keep him and just let his contract expire. Talent wise this is about as good as ones going to get but I'd rather keep AK then pay 9mil for 2yrsEveryone needs to realize AK's expiring contract is worthless this year. There is about 3 teams that have trade exceptions that are way more valuable than AK's contract. We aren't going to get talent for AK's deal. There isn't enough players that teams are trying to trade away. And the talent that is there will be for the trade exceptions. Not AK's deal.
AK would not hurt us being on the Nuggets. Once Melo is gone Nuggets are lucky to make the playoffs. They aren't even a threat anymore.
