Following potential 2013 draftees

Stupid question, I know: but does anyone else think it looks like he's palming the ball almost every time he dribbles -- even more than most others who constantly get away with it?

I watched that game, but you made me re-watch the video above. Actually other than 'palming' the ball, what I noticed was how good his handle is. He was able to keep the dribble alive and made the right plays numerous times just because of that superior handle. May be it's because he's so low to the ground with that low dribble, it seems too difficult for defenders to hand their hands in there and steal the ball without risking getting fouled.

If we somehow overtake Dallas and get #12 pick, it'll be mighty hard choosing between Burke & MCW.

Right now I'm with Burke 60/40.

Cal will never guarantee a starting spot. He let's everyone know you'll get the playing time you earn. There's never any chemistry problems because the players know who is best and they see them getting the PT. Not much to bitch about at that point.

Late to the party on this but Cal sounds like the anti Corbin, or maybe Corbin is the anti Cal, not sure which one is best.

Didn't Deron dribble in a similar way? I seem to remember him palming and dribbling very high. He got the ball stole frequently to start his rookie season....I was sure the Jazz had made a mistake.

Thanks for the Burke highlights.

I like how he keeps his dribble, he gets doubled, tripled and still dribbles, probes, until something opens. Hope that translates to him being a Chris Paul or Steve Nash type pg not Carlos Arroyo.

So I am watching the newest scouting video that DX has put together for Tony Mitchell of North Texas and during the weaknesses portion of the video it brings up a lot of the same issues that I see with other current Jazzmen. I just thought that I would point that out.

Here's the video for anyone that cares:

Tony Mitchell looks like a monkey. Seriously. (not racist) He doesn't look bright at ALL. One of those players that when he's off the court he's probably trying to fit the square block into the star shaped hole. I kinda like him as a player though.

Does it say he spends too much time on the bench?

So you think putting (not racist) makes it ok? Seriously?

If he was white I'd say he looks like a monkey too. I mean, look at his ears and the dumb expression on his face. No matter what race he is he'd look like a monkey. So ya, it makes it ok.

I think Marvin looks like a gorilla, mainly because his arms seem way way wayyyyy to long for his body. Sorry racist police, it isn't because he's black.
