Apologist here. Dude doesn't generally offer up much of anything in interviews. He wants to be on the court, competing, which is a good thing. He has never said he deserves to start or that the decision to put him on the bench was wrong. Let his play do the talking.

Paul's averaging 17.7 and 9.6 per 36 on .549 TS in March.

Also in the 30% shooting range since march 1st

hahahahahahahaha.

Two can play this game

Andray Blatche is averaging 19.5 PPG and 10rpg on 54.6% true shooting.

Clearly he must be superior to Millsap. It's okay though, keep using statistics to deflect attention away from the fact that Millsap has sucked all kinds of nuts for a while now.

PS: Cute Neg Rep.

I don't care what he said. But I do care that since he signed that toxic bomb contract the Jazz have been in a downward spiral. The spiral became worse as Milsap started more. With Milsap coming off the bench the Jazz made it to the conference finals, semi-finals (2times) and were run by the Lakers in the first round. With Milsap starting the Jazz have made it to the playoffs once, and were swept by the Spurs.

He's never said he was happy to do what the team asked, never said he was okay with coming off the bench, never said he was willing to sacrifice a few personal stats for wins.

What he has done is stated his displeasure at getting benched at the end of games, for not starting games, or for playing sf in games. That is all well known and to suggest otherwise is disingenious.*

I know he is really liked by some people, thats cool. I don't hate the guy, would never boo him or anything, just not in love with him starting anymore for the Jazz.

* Unless he is the victim of an ellaborate media scheme that spanned several years, encompased mutliple media types, and involved all the major personalities and companies that normally compete against each other.

Who said I don't care about Carroll, Kanter, Evans, Favors, Burks, or Hayward?

I would like to see more of a Hayward, Burks, Favors, Kanter, Millsap lineup... with Carroll and Evans coming off the bench.
I like Evans, but I'm not high on him as a real contributor unless I can see some sort of jump shot... but I like him on the team for what he provides at how much he's paid.

My main worry is getting a real point guard that can see the floor, make good passes... and hit the open shot if needed. We do not need a chucker at the 1.

Trey Burke my Friend... Trey Burke

But he gets Free Throws!1!!1!!2132!
Uh...because drawing fouls isn't valuable?

edit: This is ignoring that he's not shooting anywhere near 30% since March 1st...not sure which orifice thee pulled that stat from.

1. Who the **** is "Milsap"?

2. What "toxic bomb" contract? Millsap has easily outperformed his contract.

3. I suppose we're blaming Millsap for Larry's death, Sloan's resignation, Memo's ankle, Boozer's contract offer from Chicago, Al's disappointing play, Deron's injuries and exit, the poor perimeter play from Jazz players, etc., right? Seems reasonable.

Fan hysteria over a non-issue. Are most of you even reading what you're posting? Or have even a half-realistic appraisal of reality?

Just kidding. Did you hear CJ Miles and Al Jefferson talk at every opportunity about how they worked out over the offseason? They're going to beast now all of a sudden. That **** matters.

This teams has a lot of issues and I for one am done with ALL of the starters on this team. Not one of them deserve to be starters or get a huge pay. Sap, Al, Mo, foye, Marvin are all bench players. They can all find themselves a new home for all I care. Jazz where stupid for not trading Sap a year ago when they could have got something out of him.

Good post.

Next time I'll just imply that everyone who disagrees with me is an apologist...

Next time you can offer proper rebuttals as opposed to seemingly being offended by me talking about "the Millsap-apologism of the Jazzfanz community", and inferring that I am unintelligent, and a moron.

You have yet to address your (loose) insistence on using 36per minute ratings and true shooting as a sign that he isn't playing poorly this month, when all of us with eyes would gladly beg to differ.

You then didn't bother answering my questions about Millsaps loyalty to the Jazz, nor did you really give a solid rebuttal regarding his lack of desire to cheer on his teammates (Both on the bench AND during interviews).

He's a pouter, and values his league reputation more than his team. Through and through.

So what should he do? Call a press conference to tell the world that he's undersized and should be playing off the bench, even though he's still arguably the best player on his team?
He's not arguably or any other way the best player on this team.

If Memo healed from his injury, he would have started with Jefferson and Millsap would still be coming off the bench and would have never been a fulltime starter. He is one of Utah's better clutch players and deserve to be on the floor in the fourth quarter, but at the 3 position. Off the bench, he was a great rebounder with great energy. Since starting, his focus has been elsewhere and his impact on the team has been worse.
He has been terrible in the clutch this year. He turns the ball over or disappears most of the time. Jefferson is actually a much better player in the clutch and I'm not a fan of his either.

He is not talented enough to be a starter,he is undersized he can not defend the 4 and he is also to slow to play the 3. He would be a great player, coming from the bench, but as a starter he is not good enough. It´s a shame on Corbin, that we spent 30 minutes per game on a guy like that, If we have AL-Star caliber players like Kanter and Favors behind.
