Following potential 2013 draftees

Been partying a lot?

No d bag, but of you don't drink,
But you party a lot, what does that entail? Just putting your hands in the air and waving them like you just don't care?

I have my negs ready if you don't make that dear diary thread

This.

No drinking partying must involve cake, candles, balloons, and gifts... right?

Guys serious question, Smart VS Burke. If we somehow get the choice.

I'm not sold on Smart, people think he could be the next Westbrook, but he doesn't have that face up dribble drive move. He can barely dunk it as far as I can tell. All I see him do is back down on smaller PGs close to the hoop and lay it up. We already have Favors/Kanter there, so that's a no go.

I would like a PG that plays intelligently and with poise. Sure, Smart could improve as much or more than Burke did in the last year, but if you are drafting Smart above Burke, you are doing it to get the player you think Smart might become moreso than most players. PGs are commonly the first line of defense against transition as well, so I've always been wary of PGs who live around the basket.

But the more I think about Smart's upside, the more interested I am. But I would sure like to see more efficiency and less bullying of smaller players. He won't get as much of that advantage in the NBA.

I think the Westbrook comparison is very poor. Besides that I kind of hate him. Does anyone think that if he was the #1 (the actual #1, not just what's been going on in only his head for the last few years) on a team that they'd be good? I have a lot of doubts.

I love 'Bazz and Noel and maybe McLemore and Smart kind of.

Noel is going to be very good defensively and hustle. Very limited on offense.
'Bazz has the most upside in the draft.

There are some nice players.. I just can't get excited about a single one.

This has been my pet word for this year.. which is why I want Burke. I just think Burke will be a very solid backup.. which is fine at the end of the lottery in a weak draft.

You don't even see an effective starter?

FWIW you were hard for Josh Selby and Austin Rivers. We're all wrong about things. I think Burke will be a nice player.

If you're gonna pick a backup, a backup big will be better value for rookie money.

Clubbing, going to raves, and other big dance parties...among other things like Vegas last week. I do it for the girls (it's pretty easy to get action at these things). I'll PM you all the dirty details I know you live for. I've actually had to decide a few times just in the past month to either have sex or go on a mission.

But the rave scene has been INSANE in SLC as of late. World famous names have been in town. Here's one vid of the last one I went to a few weeks ago. Let me know if the link doesn't work for you or whatevs.

I think he can be an effective starter, yes. I make the backup comment because I'm asking myself not whether he can be merely effective but can he lead a championship caliber team. Maybe that's not fair or relevant, but hopefully clarifies.

Yes, I was high on Rivers.. and I'm still curious, tbh. I was high on Selby because of his major slippage. Like Kabongo.. one person asks me if I like him when he was mocked at #7 and I said no. Another person asks when he's in the 2nd round and I said yes.

And yes.. none of us get them all right... I feel like I've been right way more than wrong, but still wrong too often to ever be taken too seriously.
