Following potential 2013 draftees

LOL.. I think that's the 1 guy ALL OF US unanimously got it wrong... still not sure what happened to him.

Anyone?

He didn't practice hard from junior year of HS on.. felt entitled. Calipari didn't offer him a schollie because he said he was selfish.
We can talk about physical attributes.. but Quincy tried to skate through rather than stay hungry and work his *** off.

So much of the game is driven by mental toughness and the appetite to be great. Sometimes that's hard to pick up in scouting, but I think you can see it in a player's body language and demeanor. Then I think you're looking for prototypical size/weight for their position, feel for the game and NBA skills.

Austin Rivers isn't really prototypical for a position unless he can transition to pg.
Jan Vesely doesn't have an NBA skill.

Speaking of the Washington Wizards, what happened to James Singleton who was supposed to be an elite defensive player?

I'm on the record, pre-draft, that he's nearly worthless.

Chris Singleton. He went to the Wizards. It's hard to be a defensive specialist on a team that doesn't play team defense. Defensive specialist are only useful on playoff teams who can fit role players into an already existing and functioning system.

I'll go on record on a few players here....

I think Burke will be a very good PG, and probably top 10 after a few years.
I think McCollum will be a reliable scorer who can put up 20 pts. any given night, although he may be better suited to come off the bench like a Marcus Thornton or Jason Terry.
Cody Zeller is nothing that special.
Shabazz will remind people of Joe Johnson and OJ Mayo, both good and bad.
Glen Robinson 3 doesn't have a true position (yet).
Otto Porter is good, but more a complementary player.

More to come

Quite good.

Noel will be more like 6'9" after a haircut, and he's not big enough to play center. He's going to have to make himself into a PF and develop his offensive game almost from scratch.
Mitch McGary is a slightly rich man's Josh McRoberts.
Tim Hardaway Jr. has as much pro potential as GR3, maybe more.
Archie Goodwin will make plays at the pro level and become a solid rotation player. He just needs to develop.

How the **** do they actually measure players like Noel's height accurately?
