Draft Seventh Woods
I think late teens at the highest, early 2nd at the lowest.
He gets beat off the dribble a ton from what I've seen. If we didn't have Hayward I might be interested.
Almost around the same what I was thinking but I don't think he will fall to 2nd round.
Yeah but getting stronger and holding his ground will probably be his priority off-season. His defensive inefficiency comes mostly from his footwork and how he places himself and that is pretty fixable. Yeah, he seems Hayward-esque too but I think Hayward and Karasev can make a killer combo offensively.
Maryland sophomore center Alex Len announced he will give up his final two seasons of college eligibility and make himself available for the NBA draft, confirming a Yahoo! Sports report from Sunday.Len, a 7-foot-1 native of the Ukraine, averaged 11.9 points, 7.8 points and 2.1 blocks per game last season and was named to the all-ACC defensive team."In two years, I've never seen a kid learn a language, learn the game. .?.?. I don't know if I've ever been around a player who has improved as much as Alex," said Maryland coach Mark Turgeon.NBADraft.net and DraftExpress.com project the 19-year-old Len to be a lottery pick in the upcoming draft."I think he can be the No. 1 pick in the draft, said Turgeon. "They're talking about the other guy (Kentucky freshman center Nerlens Noel) being No. 1 and you guys saw the same guy I saw when we played them early in the year. This kid (Len) is gonna be special."Turgeon said he didn't attempt to convince Len to return to school because he's expected to be a lottery pick."I know it's gonna be different, it's gonna be a lot of hard work, but I think I'm ready to compete and contribute to teams," Len said. "When I came here two years ago, I improved so much that it's not gonna be hard to make step to the NBA."
Anyone know anything more about this kid? Could he be a look at for our third big?
I'm not saying that Burke, MCW, McCollum, or Schroder are sure-fire all-stars, but I think most of them will make it to a second-contract (notwithstanding 'acts of god').
It has the Jazz drafting two big men and a SG. That makes a lot of sense for this team. NOT!
I disagree. Drafting a position in this draft would be a disaster. We will not find our pg in this draft as much as we want to will it to happen. We need to look for rotation players and Steven Adams is perfect as our third big. Big, strong, and athletic. Has a good work ethic so should improve offensively.

Drafting a big in the 2nd round after you have already drafted a big is a disaster.
Disagree. You take bpa and sort it out after.
Completely agree.. but what do you do if every player sucks?

Talking second? Non guaranteed so really does not matter, but you have to select someone. Let's assume for arguments sake that the draft shakes out as draft.net believe (bwhhhhhahhahhalololololoololo). Ok I'm awake. IMHO where the jazz select in the second there are some potential value picks. Bj young, jiateh and Thomas are the guys you swing for. All will more than likely bust, but they have the potential if they want it to be players in the league. This draft more than any other I believe that risks must be taken regardless of position.
