What's new

Thursday October 7th Portland (Insert caveman Joke no one gets but me) @ Jazz

Jefferson had the highest +/-

With +25
I personally found/find that EXTREMELY interesting. I'm not worried about his numbers, those will come, the question for me was and will continue to be how does THE TEAM play when he's on the floor. Early, but encouraging.

Some interesting tweets:
-@tribjazz: Jazz rookies are apparently not being hazed. Fesenko said that has to change.

-@tribjazz: #Blazers' Matthews receives a strong cheer from #Utah_Jazz crowd.

-@tribjazz: No way: Fesekno just gave the #Blazers' Johnson the Mutombo finger wave after a hard block.

-@tribjazz: Jefferson looks very winded midway through third quarter.

-@tribjazz: Al Jefferson is being run into shape. Still on the court in fourth quarter, while the rest of Utah's starters are on the bench.

@tribjazz: Preseason? Jazz fans are standing on their feet as Utah leads 99-96 with 7.2 seconds to go.

How is it possible for people whose profession it is to follow sports to mess up the name "Gordon Hayward"? It's ****ing retarded to the point of insulting.

I thought Haywood (kidding) and Evans were impressive for rookies in a real game.

I liked Fes' energy early on, but meh, and he needs to learn to hit a mother ****ing free throw. Gah.

Screw Price as second string PG.

Screw Nissalke on the radio. Dude is an idiot.

You can tell he's been a much more willing passer and has been focusing more on defense.

It seems like he already knows he can score when he wants to but he's trying to work within the offense.

It's gonna take a lot of work. But after this month I think he'll be a much more complete player.

Jefferson winded is concerning. If he was as excited to come here as he said and portrayed himself to be, he would be in the best shape in his life.

Jefferson looked fine. Whenever he tried to score, he did, but for the most part he was just letting the offense flow.

Video highlights of the game are posted on NBA.com. Just go to the game recap and click on the highlights.

Eh, those things seem to work themselves out. Maybe he's taking longer to get acclimated to the altitude. The guy's averaged 34 minutes a game for the last four years, so I'm not too worried.

He is.

Best Shape of his life isn't the same thing as Utah Jazz shape

This is a guy who's best year was played at 293 pounds which clearly less muscle on his body and more fat
