Following potential 2013 draftees

It's a mock of a draft that's a year away.......... Smart made himself the possible number one pick this year before deciding to return. Meanwhile Jabari and the others haven't played a single second in college. I would take him number one just because the others haven't proven anything yet besides being dominant in HS.

And you'd be fired the same day.

That's a very short sighted view

you do realize Aminu is a rebounder and an iso and help defender, thats where his value is, he does other stuff too but thats why he gets paid at least a few mil a year, he has better feet than favors, which is saying something at that size, i dont count guys out like that, its on you if you do, hes 23 and not going anywhere, this kids gonna be very good.

and nitpick his offensive stats, most of them have improved every year hes in the league, which in my estimation is a great sign that he will still get better.

realize this, aminu is the same size as anthony davis so lots of his minutes are with the starters but then davis goes out for a bit and he switches to 4 then subs in and out with the hornets second unit, so they suck. Aminu is so big and quick that he can stand at the 3 point line and u have to stay with him because he can be at full speed in 2 steps and jumping with the ball like 11.5 feet in the air, in the blink of an eye for a biig dunk. so i mean this player at a few mil is a worthy gamble, his offense is so bad he shot 47.5%, boo-hoo

He is a defensive tweener, literally the most worthless type of player there is. Too small to play at PF, and a handicap at SF because he can't spread the floor. New Orleans are a rebuilding team and would have no problem picking up the option if he had even a slight glimmer of hope, think about it.

ive gotta go run to the bowling alley and im trying to watch these games still,

but, Noel obviously has the best hands of any big guy, he gets steals off of guards in transition, he has the best hands of any college big guy over 6'9" ive ever seen, its funny people always talk about his blocks maybe being better than anthony davis, im not sure about that. i am sure hes got better hands and anticipation for steals though, id say its noels best trait, its uncanny.

ill do smart when i get back, i need to post vids of some of his steals to enforce my point, with noel its obvious, unless of course you dont watch the games and rely on speaking in generalities...

EDIT: prepare to be offended on my assessment of smart though pkm, the letters MKG might be used

You know I watch the games. I've seen more of these guys games by the time they're starting their senior year than most anyone that has seen them throughout college.

No one, that I have seen, says Noel is a better shot-blocker than Davis.. Davis was the best I have ever seen at his age, ever. All I said earlier is that Noel was tracking surpassing Davis' numbers... but I never thought he was on Davis' level... but still elite.

Per Chad Ford:

More top prospects pulling out of drills portion of NBA draft combine: CJ McCollum, Cody Zeller, Michael Carter-Williams

Might drop McCollum's stock, if he was still around 16 in the mocks rather than 9, I bet he does them.

I agree that CJ would participate if he was projected lower.. don't necessarily agree it hurts his stock at all.

to me knowing burks is ready for minutes at both guard spots and some SF, renders Gordon expendable and hes worth a ton, i hope we trade him for a top pick... thats my wish for the draft, we can replace gordon for many years at a much cheaper price with an Aminu/Saric Platoon(or Goodwin or KC-P) and Saric can reeeeally pass, just cant run and jump like gordon, heres why its not a downgrade if saric pans out, gordon cant run and jump like aminu... follow what im saying, and gordon is probably going to expect to be paid the pretty marketable whiteboy premium, dump his *** now, if he was that good he wouldent have choked for a whole series, he lost his shootingstroke and was ghostly white, then he didnt step up when the playoffs were on the line at the end of the year, DUMP that kid, archie goodwin will run thru a wall for corbin and we can get him near 14 apparently

JF has a hard time with the notion of trading one player for assets and then picking up cheap two-way players, but I'm a huge fan. Look, for example, what San Antonio has done nabbing guys that go for a million but play like seven. Too hard to sell one of the poster boys for success though, I guess.

There is a growing history of bigs getting tossed away for next to nothing. Great thing about it is you can rent them for a year or two at the minimum, so you're not crippling yourself long term. This is why I'd trade Hayward and Favors before reaching their potential. It's all about return on investment, and that has to factor in the replacements you picked up for free on the open market.

agreed.

Watching OKC trying to score is painful. They're really missing Westbrook.........and Harden.

I definitely want to get a guard who can penetrate and put pressure on the defense all night--whether that's Schroeder or Kabongo.

Starting to warm up to the idea of Kabongo, as he might be the best pure pg in the draft, and a guy who might end up being a better pro then collage player.
