Tax Cheat Assistant Coach

Like that's not common. Fans have a special way of seeing the worst in people and very few head coaches are immune.

Two sides to every story.. What I find lacking in the anti-Ty lackeys is an honest argument that's even remotely convincing.

You don't think taking a superior team* (with more preparation) to a worse record is a convincing argument that he's not good? Even if he's just mediocre and not the worst coach in the NBA (which he's not and people that make that argument only hurt a more sensible position), what mediocre coaches win championships?

I already know I'm already preaching to the choir to some degree.

* by practically every account
** at a time where he should be showing significant improvement, and this isn't even citing obvious blunders on an almost nightly basis

Why do Jazz fans overlook what a terrible guy Malone is?

I am not privy to the details of his private life which I assume you are hinting at, but I disagree with you. I don't think Malone is terrible at all. As far as star NBA players go , I place him above average in terms of respectability.

I can't wait to see him coaching by phone from a federal prison.

LOL.. if this truly eventuate it'll be one of the biggest stories in the NBA this offseason.

Stern might even give Greg a call "Hey Greg - are you sure hiring Ty (and subsequently his friend Lowe) was a good idea?"

To convince, you have to show me that Marvin was an upgrade over Bell and whoever else, that Tinsley and Watson weren't even worse, that an injured Mo contributed more a healthy Devin Harris, that Millsap didn't regress, and that Candy Boye was somehow an upgrade at the 2. I know you enough to know you don't believe they were.

I don't think the youngins developed enough to overcome all that, but they are very close (minus Burks).

At worst, Marvin and Foye are exactly as poor as Josh Howard and Raja Bell. I wouldn't make that case as Marvin could at least play good defense and not shoot his team out of games and Foye is actually a decent player. Foye is actually more like Josh Howard as a player, but Foye could make a shot, and Marvin is more like Bell but could stay healthy and could still play defense. If there was any advantage to Howard and Bell, it's that they ****ed themselves out of the job and Corbin was forced to play superior - and younger - players. Corbin shouldn't have to be forced to play his best guys. The FO did him no favors on making decisions for him, but he coached a better team and with more preparation, to a worse season.

that the best you can come up with?
