.....The Heat shot well from 3 point land during the regular season.....when there fast break domination opened up things and created wide open shots. But now that the playoffs have started and the game becomes more half-court oriented and the collar gets tight on those shooters, I don't think they've done nearly as well. Be that as it may, unless Lebron can penetrate into the lane (and the Spurs are stopping that for the most part) the Heat's offense is pathetically generic and not that efficient! Simply stated: the Spurs half-court offense is much better than the Heat's......and the Heat have neither the time nor the proper type players to change that much! Spurs in 5.....maybe 4!

Again, you are changing the discussion midstream. I was not addressing whether the Spurs or the Heat will win. I was addressing your assertion that Lebron doesn't have anyone else on his team that he can trust to make a shot, which is ridiculous when the entire team shoots a fantastic percentage from all ranges. If the Heat get beat, it will not be because Lebron can't trust anyone else on his team to make a shot.

I've heard coaches say that the teams with the two best offenses are the Spurs and the Heat. Miami doesn't just play isolation basketball like they did their first year together. They move the ball very well and find the open shooters. You don't go on the second longest winning streak in NBA history if you have a ****ty offense. I agree they don't have the same precision as San Antonio in the half court, but you make it sound like you're talking about the Jazz instead of the Heat.

Furthermore, I think anyone that says this series is going to only be 4 games is kidding themselves. When I was originally making my prediction I had a hard time deciding if it was going to go to 6 or 7 games. Right now I'm thinking 7.

....that 27 game winning streak was more the result of a water downed league than anything the Heat were responsible for! More than half of these NBA players barely finished one year of college ball and learned most of what they do from their schoolyard days or from watching the AND1 league! The Heat are basically a conglomeration of talented but "one on one" players who, if given the choice or opportunity, would dump the most simple of play books and go about their business of "creating" their own shot! In addition, if todays NBA clowns would have to play by the original "basketball rules" (no palming, no traveling, no "crab walks", etc. etc. etc.) they'd end up shooting about 25% and committing twice as many turnovers than assists....which the Heat have done a number of times even this year!

....well, answer me this question if you can! Howz come when the Heat win and Lebron has involved his teammates, they say he's doing the right thing and he's a great team player......but when the Heat lose and his teammates have missed numerous shots, they say "he should have posted his man up more" and forget about passing to his teammates? And then there's the flip side to that foolishness as well! When Lebron puts on an offensive display, scores 30 plus points, gets a triple double and still loses, they say "he should have trusted his teammates more and got them more involved!" I know the answer....I just want you to explain it!

I'm pretty sure they're capable of choosing to do that every night they step on the court, and they've chosen to move the ball and play as a team.

I predict Miami's D makes it very, very tough on the Spurs tonight.

True, the more ball pressure they can exert, the tougher it will be for the Spurs to score. However, these are not your ordinary "gee, what do I do with the ball now?" guys who prefer a dollar a dribble to making a meaningful pass! Plus, the more effort they exert on defense, the less energy they are going to have to "create" their own shots and do those dazzing dunks in heavy traffic! Unless the refs hose the Spurs, this is going to be a short series!

Have you noticed that several championship contending teams in recent years basically spread the floor with 3 shooters and then run a 2-man game with their best offensive players, one of them being a slasher?

The Spurs space the floor and have Parker penetrate to a) get to the rim, b) feed Duncan, or c) kick out to a shooter.

The Heat spread the floor and have Lebron attacking and kicking out or hitting Wade on a cut. Problem is Wade is playing at about 60% right now.

The Lakers used to have 2 shooters spread out creating lanes for Kobe to attack the rim with Odom following him and Pau sitting out on the baseline.

...that, my friend, is a bunch of dog hocky! He and the Heat are just using that as a feeble excuse as they go down in flames! Nothing wrong with Wade. When he's shooting a good percentage, he's still slashing to the hoop, catching alley oops, and crashing the boards with the best of them! But when he's defended the proper way, and the refs don't bail him out with those worse than flop "ticky tac" touching fouls, he's just another over priced and over paid NBA player waiting to collect his last pay check and head out to the clubs and tattoo parlors! (Oh, wait! I take that back when it comes to Wade. He doesn't have any tats on that chiseled body of his!)

If you remember Dwayne Wade of last year, you would recognize that he's not healthy. I'm not here to defend the Heat, but Wade ain't Wade right now.

Tonight will be a very interesting game since Miami is essentially facing elimination (I don't think there's any coming back if they lose both games at home).

I expect another classic tonight.

One simple adjustment I would make if I was Miami is tell Bosh to STOP TAKING SO MANY DAMN 3's.

....exactly how many steps do you have to take before they call traveling in this league? Wade, I counted 4 on that layup! And why do they let that Spurs hater Crawford ref a game that involves San Antonio? He's already been suspended once for hosing them big time, correct?
