What's new

Following potential 2013 draftees

i also think if schroder in a few years can add like 25lbs, hes gonna look like a pg u dont want to play against

also lets remember russell westbrooks vertical was 36" and he plays way more above the rim than many of the 40" guys

give me length on the ground over length in the air anyday. those guys at P3 can help them with vertical jump

From DX:

Giannis Adetokunbo's line tonight for U20 Greece team vs Turkey: 17 points (4/5 2P, 2/4 3P), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 fouls, 20 minutes

Tim Tebow agrees. Look how successful he has been...

Well, winning isn't everything. There's so many thing you can do in this world to serve the Lord and in turn make this world a better place.

Look at Jeremy Lin and all the work he's doing in China in opening their eyes to the Gospels. Can you say that what he's doing there is somehow less important than what he's doing in the NBA?

People sometimes forget that there is a much bigger world out there than the world of sports that need our help...

Haha, I am sure he is a great guy, doing lots of great things. However, I am a jazz fan because I want the team to win a championship one day. I also think that the Holy Spirit does not care one bit about who wins the championship.

i know everyone hates this but we should trade hayward to the suns for #5 and #30

take Oladipo @5
Schroder@14
Tony Mitchell@21
Hardaway Jr@30
Mam Jaiteh@46

Schroder / Burks / Tinsley / ???
Oladipo / Hardaway JR / Burks
Burks / Mitchell / Oladipo / Marvin
Favors / Kanter / Mitchell / Marvin
Kanter/ Favors / Jaiteh

^^ id bet theoretical dollars kanter would go 20/10 nightly in this scenario

In a normal draft, that is not a terrible idea. But if I had to guess, I would say Hayward will have a better career than oladipo.

Well that is true. But if you can get a guy who is your leader, and he is also filled with the Holy Spirit, I think you will have a great foundation for your team. Why? Because you'll have a leader who will always strive to "do the right thing".

You look at Lillard, Burke, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade, - yeah sure they have talent, but equally they are also great leaders/character guys who are filled with the Holy Spirit.

is anyone gonna mention that schroders father has passed away, and shane larkin has a steph curry type support system

his father is a HoF athlete...

i think its very fair to say that Dennis the menace has just begun to scratch the surface, i think both have a point to prove but miami is not the best place for you to get hungry in college, its where you go to party and lay in the sun... and Larkin has much room for improvement but i see his potential as C+ maybe B level, im not sure Larkin is the ty lawson starter type, he maybe a better JJ BArerra type, a sparkplug off the bench

Dennis will be more of a guy who is gonna wow everyone and then get on everyones nerves and then do something amazing... larkin should be more consistant right away, if schroder is consistent off the bat and gets minutes on the jazz, watch out... we have a sleeper

**** it. lets have some fun for ****s sake. schoeder might be a handful, but damn if he wouldn't spice up our ****ing team

Hayward is a unique and versatile player. That makes him a rare commodity. He can defend both guard positions, spread the floor with his shooting, run the pick and roll, get out in transition and create a bit for himself in the paint. That makes him a good complement to Favors and frees up our PG to do other things on offense while Hayward initiates. I think we need Hayward's versatility.

IMO, Hayward would be worth the #3 or #4 pick in this draft to teams like Washington or Charlotte.

All of this talk on Larkin's vertical needs to stop. He did not show that vertical during games, and since he's terrible at finishing, it's an irrelevant skill other than showing that he's explosive, which we already knew from his sprint times.

Larkin does not see the floor well. Watch the tape. Coming off of the PnR, he missed open corner shooters and the roll guy countless times. He's a starter on a bad team, who would be more suited to be an energy guy off the bench. You don't draft that kind of player at #14 or #21.

A backup energy guy at 21 would not be bad at all.

Look at the average production of the 21st player in most drafts. That's pretty much what they do.

I don't think anyone would say "No" to Larkin at #21..

It's taking him at #14 ahead of Schroeder that really scares me......

see like what people dont understand here is that i have a higher grade on Alex Len than i did Hayward.

so if we could get #3 for hayward, to take Len, in my book thats a win everytime

thats just me, i have a tendency to put a Big #1 overall

i had Lamarcus Aldridge #1 overall
i did not have Greg Oden #1 overall
i had Yao Ming #1 overall
i had Enes Kanter#1 overall
and Demarcus Cousins #1 overall
my personal favorite so far, since tim duncan

i had Brook Lopez #1 overall

and my biggest gaffe was Hasheem Thabeet near #1, but memphis was a terrible spot for him, shame on them for that pick

so this year not to keep tradition but because i actually have him graded the highest,

Alex Len is my #1 overall player
