Actually.... One of playstations best exclusives historically is becoming multiplatform with the new console generation.

Final fantasy

Historically, PlayStation has had much better exclusives than Xbox, not only in quantity but in quality and I really don't see that changing this time around. Purportedly 20 exclusives in the first year of the PS4's life, and 40 currently in development.

This proves PS exclusives are better than Xbox.

Given that PS4 will be $100 cheap, that's icing on the cake.

PS4 FTW.

what faulty logic are you using bro? you are making no ****ing sense.

i would disagree with tony too... maybe sony has had better exclusives for niche gamers, but halo, gears of war, forza.... those games have proved FAR better for the masses

Hold on bro.

explain?

I'm in a situation in life where an extra $100 up front won't be a big deal.

I live in the 21st Century and have a constant internet connection.

I don't steal my games, have no problem authenticating them once/day.

I've already dealt with an online-pass system with madden and ncaa football on ps3 and am ok with it.

I can play Halo, my favorite game series aside from Zelda.

My family will make use of the vastly superior media aspects, and kinect games like just dance.

Can make use of wonderful skype capabilities considering it's the only way that i communicate with my parents who live in thailand.

what's wrong with preferring the xbox one?

I do appreciate the lack of region locking even though I have yet to make any use of it. But hey, I can definitely see myself importing the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia if the fan-made English patch is ever completed. I can also see there being other import games I would care about.

BTW, my favorite trailer of E3 so far has got to be this one, for a game called simply "X"... although it's pretty obvious that it's basically a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles.

Between this and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, I'm actually starting to care about the Wii U a bit. They've also announced some new upcoming first-party games, like new Mario Kart and Smash Bros games. All of that might actually be enough for me to pick up a Wii U... although I would wait until they hopefully dropped the price after PS4 and XB1 release.

Thanks for sharing the video AP. I've been considering WiiU for awhile as well. I was hoping the White 8GB version would come down to $250. For those who haven't played the original Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, you really missed out on a FANTASTIC game. Monster Hunger Tri, Super Smash Bros., Mario 3D World, Mario Kart, and Rayman Legends all pique my interest on the WiiU. I'll most likely pick one of these up over the holidays rather than a XBox 1 or PS4.

Fair. $100 is less than the price of two games. Considering I have about 50 PS3 games, I wouldn't be sweating the $100 either if the situation was reversed.

I live in the 21st Century and have a constant internet connection.

For a lot of people this won't matter, and that's fair enough. But for one, there are people -- like the guy on a nuclear sub for months or years -- who are excluded from enjoying this system (as of 2012, about 20% of North Americans don't have internet access). And speaking for myself personally, I'm never online with my PS3 unless I have to be, because I don't like being stalked online, even if it's just my friends. They don't need to know what I'm doing/playing. So there are privacy issues involved.

I don't steal my games, have no problem authenticating them once/day.

The more pressing issue for me here is that there is no guarantee that you will be able to continue to play XB1 games indefinitely. What if they shut off the authentication servers in the future? There's nothing to stop them from doing so. Then you just can't play those games you paid for anymore. Granted, by then there will be a shiny new console, and maybe you won't care so much about your XB1 games anymore. But I hope you can see why people have a legitimate beef here... they'd like to own their games and know that they'll be able to continue to play them as long as they have the console, not simply as long as Microsoft feels they'd like to allow (I am, at this very moment, playing through a PS1 game again that's now 18 years old). Not to mention the resale issues.

Oh, and if Microsoft's network ever gets hacked for an extended period of time -- like PSN did in 2011 -- then you're screwed and can't play games until it's back up. You don't think Microsoft will become the target of hacker attacks who are aiming for just this outcome?

I've already dealt with an online-pass system with madden and ncaa football on ps3 and am ok with it.

Not to mention Sony never ruled out online passes for individual games, so this can't be taken as a negative only for XB1.

I can play Halo, my favorite game series aside from Zelda.

No argument if you're a Halo fan.

My family will make use of the vastly superior media aspects, and kinect games like just dance.

Being an all-singing all-dancing media machine was the XB1's focus, so fair enough.

Can make use of wonderful skype capabilities considering it's the only way that i communicate with my parents who live in thailand.

K.

what's wrong with preferring the xbox one?

Nothing. But I do think that UNLESS you're a big Halo fan, PS4 is clearly the better choice as a pure gaming machine, which is after all what most gamers are looking for. If the other media features intrigue you, then whatever. But at this point I think it really is hard to argue against the PS4 if you're all about the gaming.

And now if you want it, you need to pay an absurd amount of money because it was such a limited release. For a long time it didn't look like it would even get localized at all, and when it did get released, Gamestop was the exclusive retailer and they only manufactured like 400k copies. They went new for $50 but now if you want one they start used at about $100.

They won't make that mistake again. I'm sure they'll make plenty of copies of the sequel and push it a lot harder when the release date comes closer.

Your parents live in Thailand bro? Which part? Are they like missionaries there or something?

F-Zero Wii U....where are you? I seriously can't believe that game didn't have a wii version. It must have sold like crap on the Gamecube or something. The Gamecube version was the best racer I've ever played though. Just perfect.

Mario Kart on the Wii was blast though, so the fact that another one is coming is awesome.
