That's a little extreme, OG..
In 5 years from now when we look back and see that Burke was mediocre and that there were others that are much better then my statement won't seem extreme at all.

Can someone explain to me why McCollum is projected early first round, but Erick Green is early second round? I understand some separation, but this just seems absurd to me.
I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit took Burke if he is still on the board. He is a Michigan kid and they need a real PG. Knight is more of a combo guard. Besides the fact he will fill some seats.

Seriously, how often do teams target a player because he is from there? Seems like a pretty stupid premise. I don't think it happens as often as its thrown around.
Derrick rose?

So you are saying that's why they took him? I don't even know where he is from, but I'm pretty sure they took him because he was the best player on the board. Rose would have went number 1, no matter who was picking first.

Bibby was really good in his prime, but I don't see the comp. two different playersWow.. if this is all Trey Burke can be, I'd rather take someone else...
agreed, however I like him in the first round just not so high.I've been in the anti-Burke bandwagon for a while. I just think that he'll be disappointing to the team that selects him, unless it's in the late teens or later.
I don't understand why the Pelicans would draft Burke or any of the other Pg's. Vasquez is one of the very good young pg's. They need help in so many other area's to wast a pick on a unproven pg and alienate your best player seems like a dumb move. I don't see them taking a pg.I wouldn't be surprised if teams got cold feet and went with MCW and McCollum before Burke. If he's still available at #9, I think he'll fall all the way to #14.
I think Pelicans is KEY. If they pass up on him, I can see him slide BIG TIME.
you don't intentionally draft a backup pg in the mid lottery, not to mention their best player is a pg.They don't really have any solid backup pg's and Trey could possibly come in right away behind Jrue.
